Waived by STL, plays C/LW, excellent speed & point production. Makes $600K.

Would be a great depth pickup - Any interest?

I'd take Ellis over him, plus he's cheaper. TJ Hensick is a callup option at this point in his career. He wouldn't stick with any team for too long.

Exactly what I meant by 'depth signing', I should have been more clear - we're not busting at the seams with pivot talent in Rochester - Eliss isn't overly gifted offensively, nor is Turnbull etc... TJ could help a lot there.

Waivers normally don't work that way. If the Sabres claim him, they have to put him on waivers them self to send him to Rochester. Then St. Louis can re-claim him and send him freely to the AHL.

So be it. Doesn't cost us anything to lose him. Might be worth a look.
