When it comes to Rinaldo it may not be "playing" dead though.

This is interesting. He seems real serious about playing very well this year...

I don't think it would matter.

Simmonds towers over Avery. Avery would have gotten his **** pounded in. What good does that do him in a preseason game?

That just seems pretty lame to me. Would they let someone like Schenn or Read do that? If you're on the team, you do what everyone else does imo.

Avery is a joke of a player. How there is even a place in the NHL for cowards like him is a joke.

There's a difference between a HHOFer and a rookie.

Eh, what's the point though? Those interviews are uncomfortable and a waste of time anyway, I appreciate his commitment.

There is one listed in the OP (first post), near the top of the page under broadcast info.

Well Sestito is gone for 8-10 games. Might be the death blow to his chances on making the team.

honestly they are horrible and shouldn't be used. The questions are always horrible, the players ALWAYS say the same thing, and it's just a waste of the players time. I'd prefer he not do them, or anyone in general.

Absolutely. He acts like such a tough guy, and turtles at the first opportunity. Sure, he's drawing a penalty, but it's a pretty pathetic way to do it.

Schenn has gotten outmuscled by Boyle a couple of times. That's something quite a lot of NHL centers get though, so it's not that alarming. Our PK looks good again though and Schenn along with Read and Couturier continues to impress defensively (as well as offensively, especially Read).
Sestito might have ****ed away his place on the roster. Seriously, how stupid was that? Especially given the suspension given to Shelley (and the rest of the boarding calls so far) and the seemingly open roster spot for Sestito to try to grab, now he's likely suspended as well.
I don't know who Dale Weise is really, only that he has some trouble drinking from a bottle, but he didn't stand a chance against Rinaldo. I'm usually not one to advocate violence... but if Rinaldo feels like taking on a Downie-esque suspension while beating Avery to a bloody pulp... I might be ok with that.
Simmonds needs to learn not to be tricked into taking that penalty however, as much as one might dislike Avery for doing what he does... we all know he does it and he still manages to disrupt his opponents enough.

Rinaldo would smash Avery's head in, and Avery knows it. Same with Simmonds.

Read got over six minute of ice time, split nearly evenly with PK and even strength. Good sign for him.

considering the check, and that his own teammate just did the same thing, he'll get at least 4

Whether or not the interviews mean anything, if it's my team, no one gets any special treatment. It only leads to resentment in the room.
I'd think it's just as lame if Pronger didn't want to do it and he's a future HHOFer.
