What kind of lineup do you guys expect/want to see thursday? My guess is that Cammy and Gionta get a rest before the last game, and they give some young guys one last chance to make it. If Desharnais is ready to go they might rest Plekanec as well, and if I had my choice I'd like to see Yemelin play on the left side.
Judging from what I saw in the preseason games, the Habs can't go with more than 2 rookies (Yemelin + 1 other). This doesn't mean I dislike the rookies in general. I was pleased with several who won't be around on October 6. I don't expect the Habs to have a fast start and Price is going to get a lot of extra work, with little expectation of help from Budaj (who looked awful in the 7-3 shellacking by the Bruins). Cohesion hasn't set in yet and the absence of injured veterans has made it harder for Martin to settle on his lines and D pairings.

Very happy about Dumont's camp. He won me over. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Me too. Beaulieu and Gallagher (and Yemelin) have sort of eaten up a lot of the attention with their showings, but Dumont's also done himself real credit with his camp. Looking forward to Bournival getting a game too, I think he could make a similarly positive impression for himself. But so far, Dumont's been the standout among the bottom-six forwards type guys for me. Not that he's close to NHL ready now.
I actually just posted Dumont as the 4th line center for the Habs in my mock line-up. I really liked what he brought. Instead, I think now it's pretty much obvious we're going with Engqvist's size and smarts for the 4th line center duty.
