Don't even bother debating trades with Leafs fans. The fanbase as a whole, with some exceptions, is generally delusional.

Covering my bases here.

No surprises there.

One of them said we'd be lucky to get BOTH Bozak and Gunnarsson for a 1st as they should "charge" us a 1st EACH!

It would be a privilege to give Dubinsky to the Maple Leafs

How exactly do any of these proposed trades help any other team then the Leafs?

Sure, let the Leafs deal players in Bozak and/or Gunnarsson who appear to be good players but nothing more then depth players for one of the Rangers top 6 forwards.

Just because the Leafs fans can salivate at the possibly of John Tavares, please don't come in here with awful proposals for some of our best players.

Why exactly are we looking to deal Dubinsky or Anisimov unless we get a TOP LINE LW'er back? Sure there are question marks with Staal right now, so hell he may miss 2 games let's deal our best players for some help!

I can say with 99.9% certainty that there is no way in hell Bozak and/or Gunnarsson will get you back Dubinsky or Anisimov. You'd be lucky to even get one of our upper echelon prospects for them.

One of us said. Dont forget for every one that says that, there are thousands who facepalm.

EDIT: Dubinsky is a pipe dream for what is being discussed here.

yeah and connolly is better than a always injured 45 year old brad richards that makes just about 2 m more on the cap hit. i wonder what league some of them watch, doesn't look like the nhl to me. toronto thinks we are minnesota where we sign players to 4 year deals and trade them hours later.

Major player? The Rangers don't have the $ space for a major player. What is the definition of a "major player"?

I wouldn't trust a word out of that guy's mouth.

Then again, a major player from the west? Everyone's thinking the same person and to get him, we'd have to send salary, so we would have the space.
Yandle? JJ?

I'm sure we could definitely get Doughty.

Let's just send back Gaborik, Lundqvist, Richards, Staal, Dubinsky, and they might want Callahan too.

1) You do realize that hockey break is a joke of a source right?

2) Even if we did trade for Gunnarsson Leafs fans will be disappointed with the return. As I said before you'd be lucky to even get one of our good prospects.

We didn't want Richards anyways, he's old and always injured. Good luck New York aahahahahah!!!!!!!!!

Connolly > Richards

Connolly never gets injured unlike your 45yr old Richards.

That's kinda funny, one of my best friends is a leafs fan, and he said something very similar when Richie signed /w NYR, and Connoly is your #1C

The post you keep quoting was made in response to another Leafs fan saying, "I don't believe anything I just posted, I'm just baiting Rangers fans." Then this guy says, "got it," and posts something crazy. That he doesn't believe, and just to bait Rangers fans. Everyone else recognized it for the joke it was.

If you couldn't detect the sarcasm on there within the context, you're gonna have a hard time on the internet - this message board in particular
