Taylor Pyatt

what would you guys think of getting Taylor Pyatt for Radio? radio has been playing pretty bad with us, and Pyatt has been stuck on the 4th line with the Sabres. I think Hitch could turn pyatt into a really good 2-way player.

thoughts?

i usually takes longer for power forwards to develop, and i wouldnt mind Pyatt, but i wouldnt give up Radio for him, i think they could even get him for less.

I'm still not seeing what is so great about Radio. He's OK, I guess, but I have seen little from him that makes me think there's much there beyond a typical 3rd line player. What is it that people see in him that's special?

As for Pyatt, I don't know much about him, so I can't really venture a guess here as to what the return would need to be to get him.

I would give Radio+ for Pyatt. But i think the Sabres would be more interested in a defenseman.

They do, but Pyatt's played nearly 300 NHL games and has 36 goals to show for it. I'd rather keep Radio, he scores just as much, he's fine on defense, and Pyatt has two left feet. And the salary difference is worth considering too, since neither one of them would get a lot of ice time with the Flyers.

I would take a flier (no pun intended) on Pyatt. Big and can skate. It's just hard to tell if he needs a change of scenery and has the ability to be a real scorer. Things are hard to predict, especially about the future.

2 left feet? have you ever watched him skate? he's a great skater for his size, probably his best asset

I'd make that trade in a minute, but I don't know why Buffalo would want Radio.

How much do y'all think Radio is worth? Do you think we could trade him for a 2nd rounder, or is a 4th or 5th more likely? Save him for the trade deadline?

To the right team he should fetch a late 2nd early 3rd IMO.
But i would rather trade him for a established player then a draft pick.

I like Radio. He has some good potential. When you look at his time in the leauge, he hasnt really played a whole hell of a lot (175 games) and I think the new rules should end up benefiting him. He hasnt started off too well, but the season did just start. As with Carter, Hitch acted kinda quick after one not so great game, but scratched Radio instead of moving him to another line. I dont think he looked that bad playing with Primeau the other night against the NYI.

I know some people are going to think I am nuts by saying this, but if they have given up on carter playing the wing, I would try radio with Forsberg and Gagne. With the talent of those two and the way they have seemed to develop chemistry quickly, I dont think it matter much who plays with them. Maybe that would get the best out of Radio, and frees up Knuble to add scoring to the 2nd line and be reunited with Richards who he seemed to mesh with pretty well. With all the penalties being called, I would keep knuble on the top line for all the pp's.
