I think he was part of a charity basketball tournament that included the leader singer of Arcade Fire.

And the latter, Win Butler, is surprisingly good at basketball.

Marriage Proposal Question

Hey Guys!! Well..the time has come where I'm finally ready to pop the big question!!!

I have one question though. I am from Winnipeg, MB. I have half season tickets to the Jets, and I was awarded the home opener game vs MY HABS ..

I was thinking of proposing at the game somehow, maybe using the jumbotron, or working something out that would be memorable! Anyone have any ideas or know of who I'm suppose to contact for such things?

Any ideas will help!! Thanks!!!

Maybe ask people on the Jets board?

Or try this page for MTS Centre customer service:

Good luck

Don't propose at a sporting event. I'm pretty sure that's like a golden rule of marriage proposals. When your soon-to-be-fiance was 12 years old, she wasn't dreaming of getting proposed to at a Habs/Jets game.

However, if she's actually a hockey fan, it could be fine.

Haha! No no ... She's been waiting for like 2 years now! We've been together for 7 1/2 years!!

If I wasn't 110% sure she'd say yes, trust me, I wouldn't even attempt it! haha

Does anyone have an extra Pearl Jam Expos shirt?

I know this is a Canadiens message board, but I thought I would try here, but does anyone happen to have an extra Pearl Jam Expos shirt from the concert on September 7th? I am a huge Pearl Jam and loved the Expos while they were around. Sucks they moved to DC. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Size XL, but large would work as well. I have things to trade or can send you money. Thanks.
Here is an image of the shirt:

I have a draft coming up and I currently hold the 7th pick in a 12 team Keeper League.

Any ideas on who I should target with the 7th pick?

Also, it's my first time ever in a keeper league so not sure how to draft. How early should the likes of Tavares, Hall, RNH, Hall, Skinner go?

Thanks guys!

A common error that just won't go away

The most commonly misused word on this forum is gel. It isn't correct to use it as a verb! A gel is a colloid (hair gel, shaving gel, gelatin, etc.) and therefore a noun. We use hair gel or shaving gel. The correct word to use when we're discussing a team or a line coming together is JELL. Please, guys?

Should of mentioned resign and re-sign, that always grinds my gears (and its not only francophone either, main board has this problem also)

It should really be spelled as Goerges, the equivalent of the German Görges.
