You have to wonder if someone told him to go after the guy. because if you watch the video it wasnt like he went out there and then noticed the guy and remembered he was trollin vis. JFJ knew where he was going before he stepped onto the ice.
I posted on the MB that he is in a new lockerroom and wants the respect of the room. Duco was a giant doucher towards Visnovsky, our best defenseman, then Getzlaf, our captain and arguably best player, not to mention whoever was in net (Hiller? Or had he been pulled already). Plus JFJ is fighting for a paycheck.
Beleskey's recovery makes it a little harder on Gordon or Macenauer to make the team I think. At least, long term.
I hope it doesnt affect what the lines look like now. It's no secret that im not a fan of Beleskey. Imo, Beleskey/JFJ should be the 13th forward. Gordon should get his spot on the 3rd line RW. Beleskey had his chance at the 3rd line, and the FIRST line, probably every line. He sucks everywhere. Give the new kid his chance first and if he doesnt work out then try something else.
I guess, if player ir suspended in NHL, he`s not allowed to play in AHL to, right?
The AHL has the choice whether or not to uphold the NHLs suspension. If Jacques is sent down to the AHL he will have to sit out 5 regular season games when he is recalled to the NHL again in order to be eligible to play. That's the way it was when Downie got suspended for 20 games at least. Philly was constantly calling him up and sending him down until he served the 20 games.
Here were the line combinations at Tuesday's practice:
Bobby Ryan-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry
Andrew Cogliano-Saku Koivu-Teemu Selanne
Andrew Gordon-Maxime Macenauer-Devante Smith-Pelly
Patrick Maroon-Brandon McMillan-George Parros
Matt Beleskey-Jason Blake-Brian McGrattan-Jean-Francois Jacques
Interesting. Is Blake playing his way out of the lineup (Hopefully) or is RC just giving Cogs a chance a LW to see if he can play with with Saku and Teemu?

I think it depends on if they think DSP is ready for a full NHL season. If he is it means you could move McMillan to 3c and have DSP-McMillan-Gordon and then Blake skating around the 4th line, with one of Beleskey / Jacques / Parros on the other wing.
I dunno if DSP is ready for a full NHL season though, I reckon he'll be a final cut similar to how Macaneur was last season.
Out of interest how many players can people think of that never played in the AHL for us and went straight to the NHL? Fowler is one, anyone else? Can't really think of anymore, I'm sure I'm missing some obvious ones though

Probably just giving Cogs a good look. Blake looked like last season's Blake in the Vancouver game. Carlyle already knows what Blake brings to the table so he wants to see more of Cogs.
Don't read too much into who's playing tonight and where they're playing. It's still preseason and we have 16 forwards which will soon be 13 or 14. Blake isn't playing because he's a veteran who's earned the right to only play a handful of preseason games. Cogs is on the wing again probably so Carlyle can see how McMillan works centering the fourth line. By the time the season starts Cogs should be back in the middle and McMillan on the wing with Mace centering the fourth line.

Is that a good or a bad thing? Looking like a 30 point 2nd liner isn't good in my mind.

It just never ends.
God forbid the guy is responsible for at least half of Masterson's possession. Did all you Blake haters watch the playoffs? The guy was on fire just like Koivu and Selanne. So what if he doesn't snipe the puck everytime he takes a shot, oh well. He brings everything that's needed for the Masterson to succeed. If Blake wasn't on that second line, we don't make the playoffs.
We better don`t touch Duco, he`ll get Parros suspended to. He`s like Avery, but i have to admit, does his job well. He got JF Jaques out not only for a game, but for couple of weeks.

I agree that hate for Blake is a bit too much. He`s in fan doghouse. Like Chip and Carter were for Randy.
^Duco's a tough one for me. I get that he's an agitator, and he's a surprisingly effective one...but players in that role can sometimes be more trouble than they're worth. The one upside to Duco is that he appears willing to fight his own battles (stand up for the messes he creates) whereas someone like Matt Cooke would cower and run from a fight.
But even then, I'm not sure as a Canuck fan that I want him on our roster. He could cause someone to take a run at one of our own stars.
