Jonas Enlund

Hey Blues fan here. I've been watching Sibir Novosibirsk (KHL) games lately following Blues prospects Vladimir Tarasenko and Jori Lehtera, and noticed line-mate Jonas Enlund was drafted by Atlanta back in 2006. My question is does anyone know if you guys hold the rights to Enlund? He seems very promising, and is really off to a great start this season. He has great two-way abilities and seems to have a knack at finding the back of the net. BTW best of luck to you guys this season!!!

It looks like he never signed an NHL contract with Atlanta, so if he was interested in trying to come over to North America he would be a UFA I believe. We would have lost rights to him for not having given him a contract within 2 years of his draft.

that's not true for khl players, we would still hold his rights, just like ilya nikulin. doubtful either ever comes over though.

He was drafted out of Finland prior to moving over to the KHL last year so I'm pretty sure we've lost his rights.

But either way, like you say I doubt he comes over.

Yes, your right, was hoping Dudley would bring him over but he chose Fredrick Pettersson instead and we no longer own Enlund's rights. Shame, he always seemed like a decent prospect to me, perhaps he'll get picked up as a free agent if he continues on with his good form.
