To me it's Hillen, Bouillon, Laakso, Josi, Ekholm, and Ellis fighting for Nashville roster spots.
I'm not sure if you listed those in a specific order or not, but I would put Ellis over Bouillon, Laaksom and Ekholm.

That is correct. Budish came to summer prospect camp in July, not rookie camp the week prior to main camp...

Looking forward to continuing to monitor Cam Reid's development from afar!

According to Sm-Liiga's website Salomäki weights 205lbs.. That's a good amount of weight for a 18 year old

ekholm is coming back to SEL right? nashville prospects rarely make the team as long as barry trotz is coaching.

I think he has that option. I think if he doesn't make the team, the front office will try and convince him to go to Milwaukee. If he would be the first defensive call up, maybe he'd give it a try to improve his game on the smaller rink. If the coaching staff couldn't give him some assurance that he may play some in the NHL this year, then I would bet he might go back overseas.

Not sure that would be best for his development though, he was already the best defenseman there and he needs to adjust to the NHL style game and ice.

yeah right Milwaukee where all prospects get buried for years. Klasen teared up that league last year and got him nowhere.

You do know Klassen was made of glass and did not play defense, right?

Then why weren't NHL teams falling over themselves to sign him? The fact that he is back overseas tells you all you need to know about his skills being able to work in the NHL.

Miikka salomäki scored a goal again and he's bit taller 181cm could end up as an 6'0 and his weight is 205lbs and prolly end up as an 220+lbs. Hes stocky as hell.

So how has Charles-Oliver Roussel looked in camp? Any predictions on what his season will be like?

Not really noticeable, good or bad. Season spent entirely in Milwaukee, I'd guess.

I hope the Preds we'll give him a role in Milwaukee. That kid was so good 2 years ago. He was probably the best D in the «Q» to drive a Power Play. I know for a fact, my team (Quebec City Remparts) tried to get him at many occasions. I honestly don't know what happened to him last season with the Montreal Junior. That team all together was a big disappointment anyway.

How has «Big Joe» Champagne looked in camp? I read somewhere he's in Milwaukee now trying out for a spot on the roster. Any chance he could make the cut?

Also, I'm so happy Gab Bourque is still in Nashville. Could he be THE surprise of the camp by beginning the season with the Preds?

Free agent defenseman Scott Valentine, who attended both prospect camp and training camp as a FA invitee, has been signed to a 3 year entry-level contract by the Predators.

Physical defenseman, not afraid to drop the gloves, plays a simple two-way game, and has a very hard shot from the point. Skates well for his size. A very good project to bring into our system IMO.

Valentine is currently in camp with Milwaukee and is expected to start the season with the Admirals.
