He's been excellent in Nashville and he's managed to be a one man offensive wrecking crew with no real talented center to get him the puck. Get him in Philadelphia and I guarantee he's a 35 to 40 goal scorer here.
I hope that guarantee comes with a money back guarantee.

This will be the worst news bar owners can get in Philly. Already lost a lot of business with my friend Richards and Carter. However, the good news will be that paternity test wont be issued with the Flyers wives.

Some people around here would expect that return for Noodle alone. Seriously.

I don't. Nodl is garbage. Maybe we can get Smithson instead of the 1st?

Not sure how credible.

Not sure how much I really want SK on this team.
I know the person that article alludes to as a source personally. Not very credible at all.

Yeah, I don't think so. Barry Trotz demands accountability from all his players and Kostitsyn plays a very good and underrated two way game. Once again, this whole "Zherdev 2.0" garbage is exactly that. He played junior hockey for one of the toughest coaches in the game in Dale Hunter (and contrary to what anyone thinks, Dale Hunter is a very hard coach). He then goes to Montreal and while in Hamilton, hones his time under Don Lever, Ron Wilson and Guy Boucher, also known as defensive minded coaches and now he plays in Nashville under Barry Trotz, another defensive minded coach.

He had a falling out with Jacques Martin over playing time. And you know what? He was right for calling Martin out and wondering why he got scraps for playing time when other veterans who could score in whorehouse with a fist full of thousands hanging out of their zipper were given ice time.

So, before you say he's Zherdev 2.0, you better check out Kostitsyn's background and look at the facts - he has played for several defensive minded coaches who have had nothing but good things to say about him.

Oh I wasn't cutting on your trade in any way whatsoever. Just having some fun with the Nodl delusionals.

And I have no clue about the Preds roster/prospects, so I'm of no help at all.

I have faith in your assessment....I think the Zherdev comparison is pretty unfair.

Maybe the fact that he can't finish if the puck is on the goal line and he's the only one on the ice?

For those asking, what the guess as the Preds roster is:

Erat-Fisher-SK
Hornqvist-Legwand-Wilson
Tootoo-O'reilly-Bergfors
Spaling-Smithson-Halischuk
Stortini-K. Wilson/Mueller

But Craig Smith is making one hell of a case to be on the team to be the #1 center.

Weber-Suter
Blum-Klein
Laakso-Hillen
Bouillon

Defenseman in the system

Ellis-Josi
Olivier-Rousell - Ekholm
Aronson - Bartley
Foss-Ford
Sloan

Nashville needs goal scoring, thus, trading SK makes no sense.

He scored 11 goals in his first NHL Season. The same amount of goals that Mike Richards scored in his first Season. Nodl is a solid 2 way winger who plays a solid forechecking game, is solid in his own end, and can play on the PK. And he can chip in offensively with 15 goals or so. He's far from garbage and say he is couldn't be more off base. He was a 2nd round pick for a reason.

Makes sense. But we're assuming that some forward would have to come back for Hartnell--even as a downgrade, right? Otherwise, what happens to our top nine?

No to Kostitsyn. He may have talent but he has entitlement issues. Case in point; Kostitsyn refused to report to the Hamilton Bulldogs, and was suspended by the Canadiens.

Just gotta say, if we get SK and Ellis for some reason and they get put on the roster...

If someone handed me a sheet with them two added with the current line-up for the Flyers last year, not only would I **** myself in laughter, I probably would of bet my entire family's lives on it not happening.

So I guess my point is, thank god I'm not a gamblin' man.

Danny stays, no doubt about it. He is the best playoff performer of the past few years bar none.

lol

If you can trade Briere for one of those guys you do it. Period.

Weber would command something similar to what we've given up for Pronger, Suter would probably go for a bit less (but still a hefty package).

So...we SUPER stack our defense, but get rid of more of our offense?
