It's Chicago, there are obnoxious drunks, any time of day, any part of the city.

I didn't realize the season Clayton Kershaw had. Definite slam dunk for NL Cy Young.

Sorry but even as a rookie, you have to know you can't bunt a guy on a 3-1 freaking count with the tying run at 3rd and he is struggling to find the zone! A grounder or sac fly could score. Instead it's a bunt, JPA gets IBB, with 2 lefties up in a row and Sale eats up lefties. Of course he wasn't on his game and both of them end up getting walked.

It doesn't matter if he is a rookie if you are making obvious blatant mistakes. He's been in the game long enough to know that. He's been a pitching coach and he's seen how other managers work.

I feel Farrell over does with his bunts, stealing at stupid times. I hated it when Cito was too dumb to pull off either of those things and when he tried to, it usually backfired but Farrell does it too much and at bad times. Maybe it's being a rookie but I haven't been impressed with him at all.

But then again, I don't like the way most managers do things.

Imagine a blown save right now. It would be a fitting way to end the season.

Though I still don't get why they are using him as a reliever. He has nasty stuff and 3 pitches, build him up as a starter dammit.
True but who knows how much a few more hours of resting a pitching arm can do. The game means nothing to either team but still, on the last game of the season on home territory, I would assume you'd want to win and not risk putting a closer in two days in a row with no more than 12 hours to rest. I do agree though, from what I saw last night, he's got some great stuff where the staff should at least try to groom him into a starter. You can't teach a guy how to throw a ball at 96 mph.

Meh, I'm good with the fact this mundane season is over.

They finished above what I predicted. I thought 70-77 wins, to get 81, well done.

well, it's after midnight PT, so unless there's a Jays fan in Hawaii that I don't know about who's lurking here, it means that the last of HF Jays posters have turned the calendar on the final day of the 2011 Toronto Blue Jays season.

The discussion thread will remain active as an off-season source of Jays conversation and will remain stuck as long as the Leafs board mods wish it to be so. GDT threads will return in April 2012 for an all new season of Blue Jays baseball.

The discussion thread stays stuck Jays fans, it's always one of our busiest threads even right through hockey season, no worries.

Disclaimer: Short of say deadline day, etc...
