Bryz really hasn't impressed me this preseason. Hopefully that changes.

Markstrom still has to prove he can shoulder the load. Bob's already done that. So... I do see Tallon picking up a young G.

He should learn alot about the position from Bryzgalov and what it takes to be an NHL goalie. Especially mentally.

It's just the preseason. Price had a terrible preseason last year and ended up having a great year.

They're probably not expecting to make a cup run this year, so they can afford to lose some game evaluating what they've got in Markstrom. Besides, when Bob got his shot and proved he could handle a decent work load, he hadn't proven it to that point either. At some point Markstrom has to get his shot, and when that happens he will be an unproven goalie.

He has all world abilities. So to me, the results with Bob are almost ALL mental.

With Bryz having the contract, #1 title, and expectations, Bob will be dynamite for the games that he does play.

Discuss.
This is exactly what ive been saying all along! No need to trade bob, we know he will excel under bryz!!

Not worried about Bryz's start at all. I am very optimistic though about Bob. He's not guessing and is making tough saves look easy. Looks like he's seeing the puck well.

I've been on Team Bob since day 1.

I was really excited about signing bryz until i realized it probably meant that Bob's time as a flyer was MUCH shorter than i had hoped.

This pre-season he is looking extraordinary.

Bryz looked like he wasn't sure what he was doing in net, but it is only pre-season.

I agree the pressure has to be off of Bob. He can get in 20 or so games and I'm sure he will improve in all areas with Bryz as a mentor. In a year or 2 we have a real nice problem, if we can't keep Bob just think what we could get for him.
