Not a very good pre-season for sure. He is even slower this year, very painful to watch.

Apparently, Subban had a talk with Gainey recently in the old port.

I wonder what they talked about....

I am not a moen fan at all.
To get to OT, other players made great plays, and of course some others might of faulted and cause the change in score.
Why do you talk about one mistake as if he is the lone reason the habs lost that game?

I don't want to see him on the 1st line ever again, not his place. When he given a 4th line role, he is the right person for the job.

Speaking of Darchey, heard that he talked to Gallagher quite a bit and gave him some tips. Probably preparation, nutrition, lifestyle, etc. Can't imagine he's teaching him dangles

He wants to see BG in action against tougher competition, which he'd get on Gomez line as opposed to Desharnais-Kostitsyn unit.

Am I the only one who likes Travis Moen?

I would hate to see our team get pushed around without him...

To be fair, I'd rather have him play with Patch rather than AK. Plus it means more ice-time for Gals. And no, Gomer won't get 3rd line ice-time.

Yeah I was wondering why Jacques didn't put Patches-Scott-Gio together. That was my answer.

Moen isn't exactly an enforcer out there, so I'm not sure what he does to prevent said pushing around?

so the habs are dressing almost 3 nhl lines tonight. I guess the regular season is getting close.

Big game for Gallagher, here. He still has a shot to make it for a 10 game stint. I think the fate of the other hopefuls have already been decided.

He prevents some middle weights from pushing us around.

Without him, everyone and the king of England would push the habs around.

I dont mind moen, but its not for that reason. He's a smart player with decent size and speed who finishes his checks. Low maintenance. Every team has them and needs them.

Same.

Having a guy like Moen on your 4th line isn't a bad thing. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn at some point either.

To be honest, I was excited to get Moen with the Habs back then, you know, the Anaheim type Moen!

This is NOT the player we currently have, and had in our lineup.

I like Moen, I just don't want to re-sign him and see him in the top 6 when a young guy makes a mistake. Moen-Gomez-Gionta as a line cost us more games than anything else last year.

I agree with that, but Moen is extremely effective in a 3rd/4th line role.

With our depth now, there is no reason for him to be in the top 6, ever.

I hope we keep him.

Dane(And stars fan) coming in peace

What's up with Eller? Has he played in this pre-season yet? Is he injured or what's the thought behind not letting him play?

He had shoulder surgery in the offseason, hasn't been given the green light yet.

If Gallagher can have some good showings, I think he make just make the squad or a trial basis. That could very well look like our Top-9 if Eller isn't ready and I'm comfortable with it.

Darche's style isn't really going to shine through in the pre-season. He had too good of a year last year to not get a chance this year.

Actually when we signed him, I was also hoping to get some of his linemates in Anaheim
