Well, if he's playing with Jagr... 90+.

Not to be too much of a Debbie downer, but I hope they'll continue to have guys like Anton Strålman out against them when we're on the pp as well...

I mean, that pass last night by Giroux on the second goal was great, but Strålman isn't exactly a pk specialist and defensive stalwart. A more competent d-man (in this aspect) would probably not have allowed that puck to reach Jagr.

I will be disappointed with less than PPG. I love the guy and will be called a homer, but I see him taking a run at most points in the league this year. His skills are very similar to Henrik Sedin. If JVR and Jagr play well, the sky is the limit. Girouxs 76 points on the third line(ish) last year with an inconsistent JVR was amazing.

Fair enough. Anyone else notice the past few years that Giroux would make these sick passes from nowhere and it would hit guys sticks/skates/whatever as they were not ready for it/skilled enough to see it coming? With Girouxs creativity and Jagr on his wing......wowser, he makes that pass and Jagr is ready to bury it.

Claude Giroux is a steal with this salary. And probably JVR as well.

How things are looking in Philly in terms of Lineup ?

What are the projected top 2 lines ?

JVR - Giroux - Jagr
Hartnell - Briere - Voracek

With how dynamic Giroux and Jagr have looked together, then once you throw JVR into the mix I could see a 30 goal 60 assist season from Giroux.

He is a much better finisher than Henrik Sedin and way more exciting to watch than Sedin. He does not remind me of Sedin at all. Henrik Sedin can't toe drag and pull the moves that Giroux does.

Well, Giroux just continues to get better and better and better every year. When you consider that from year two to year three, he had a 29 point increase, I think it's very plausible that Giroux could hit the century mark this year.

With that being said, I think Giroux will get in the high 90s. The one thing that I like about Laviolette's system is that not only a guy like Giroux benefits, but a guy like Simmonds is also going to put up great numbers. I'm willing to bet that Simmonds becomes a 30/30 guy here.
