the big ice surface doesn't suit Prussian and Rust's game - lol

Wolski's skating looks marginally better.

put your beers in the freezer 1hour-1,5-hour before the game and take 5beers for each intermission, fool proof tactic!

I'll admit -- I was one of those "I want the bigger ice" guys. I figured it'd be great to see what the skilled players could do with time and space. But this is just a little too slow for my taste. Stick with the NHL-size rinks!

Questions for the Swedish fans here: What else is different besides the width of the rink? (IE, are the nets the same dimensions as the NHL, are the boards the same height, etc.) And what are the major rules differences in the SEL compared to the NHL?

Also, do all Euro leagues use Olympic size rinks? Do any of the leagues use NHL dimensions?

I'm so sick of seeing Avery. This guy has NO place on this team anymore. Unskilled and stupid. He makes everyone around him worse. Please cut him.

Btw does Henrik got a sticker on his helmet to honour the Jaroslav goalie Liv who died in the air crash? All the SEL goalies got one and Henrik said in an interview that he wanted one too.

I really enjoy the fact that the arena is called the Scandinavium.

All rinks are IIHF standards. SEL doesn't have the guts to stand up to them like the NHL. I'd much prefer smaller rinks.

I really do not know, but I am pretty sure that Olympic size equals European size.

A game where the teams care about the results are faster, quite so. Personally I'd like a rink somewhere in between SEL and NHL size. Just a tad wider than the NHL and keeping the larger off/def zones.

in playoff games it wouldn't look so slow even on bigger ice-surface, its just this is nice little exhibition game and both team has pretty average players so americans can't really have that "WOW" expression, but if you want comparison look for WHC games and you notice how entertaining it can be
