What's up with this? I'm looking at the schedule for the MSG's for later tonight and it seems this games is getting bumped for the Champions League/Premier League review shows. Are they serious?
Cannot expect MSG to pick this up because if you look at the ratings for both teams combined with the fact a baseball (Yankees) playoff game is on tonight, they probably couldn't secure enough advertising airtime dollars to offset production costs to justify it.
I'm sure they'll stupidly blackout the game for everyone except for maybe 4 counties in NJ and select areas of Long Island again. I guess I should have that list of proxies/ports ready to go.
Still not understanding why Cizikas is getting no looks. What the hell is up with that?
Same here, I don't get it.
It's clear that Frischmon and Wallace are AHL depth at best, getting this close to the end of camp, I'm surprised they're still playing. I would have liked Cizikas to play just to get a sense of how far away he is, what he needs to work on, etc. But it's not like he'll get that from NJs "B" team.
We haven't really heard who's had a great camp or poor camp - all we know is what we see in the games, which is only part of the picture.
Cizikas isn't NHL ready anyway, but I would have thought he would play more in the preseason.
I thought Frischmon was put on waivers. If the Islanders mind is made up on him, why not play someone else, like Kabanov?
Agreed...with the limited games, enough of putting in players everyone knows have no shot at cracking the lineup and who are not even semi-legit prospects. Let's see what the real bubble players and prospects can do mixed in with some regulars. I've seen enough of the Panddolfo experiment as well. Anyone recall a singe good play he's made seeing how he's been in the lineup for every game?
If that's the case I'd give KK a flyer on JT's wing, preseason is a time for experimentation. We've been looking for a mobile playmaker to play shotgun.
Last year there were a few first-year training camp attendees who did not see preseason action (e.g. Ullstrom, Kabanov).

Well consider my location!!
<----- I'll be waiting for those proxies, lol!

Well, after reading this I have come to another conclusion. We don't know what's going on in camp and it appears there is a good chance management has their mind made up. If they feel that players are well conditioned and ready to go maybe they just don't want to worry about injuries and stuff for now. I know it sounds odd but also in a tryout it may be out of respect to let the player play as many games as possible. It wouldn't be professional to have him come in for a tryout and not play. Remember the ISLES invited him, not the other way around. That's just my two cents.
they probably don't care if Fichmon gets hurt, but do care if Kabanov gets hurt. I dunno, seems crazy to me that this is the 4th preseason game of the year, and the A team has only played once.
Why can't we get some decent wingers for Strome to play with in these games, it's like they want him to fail and not produce. The one time he played with Kabanov, was the game he looked his best. Tim Wallace and Matt Martin ? Geez. Why not play Reasoner on that line, that's where he's gonna play anyway, 3rd or 4th line. Why not let Strome show what he can do as a first line center ?
It'll be nice to see Streit and Poulin again though. Second game for both.

I been thinking the same thing......This kid coul become a real Grinder for us in the future.....Hes headed to BPort but he should still be getting game action....

My thoughts too....The only reason I can see them not letting Strome play top line MIn in the games is because thier going to send him back to Juniors anyway so why not let the guys that will be here get the ice time......But I here you Strome Needs skilled line mates not Grinders
