Please...I think after the last two NHL seasons, Kings fans are used to not getting much sympathy for their injured players...I doubt if you'd see much *****ing from Kings fans

People had little or no sympathy when anyone on the Kings got hurt. Sure, they did when the sum of injuries was as bad as they were, but oh well.

I realize that. Im just saying because of the Avery/Gauthier situation people are having no sympathy at all twords Gauthier, and if Avery did get hurt I wouldnt expect any sympathy at all. But that being said I think this whole Gauthier/Avery situation got way overblown out of proportion.
Some people really need to let it go.

Avery didn't even factor into it with me. I consider it the Roenick/Gauthier situation. Since it was JR that was hurt in the whole ordeal. I am a strong believer in Karma. Gauthier just got a taste of it.

Roenick: 11th concussion of career, misses a couple preseason games.

Avery: Busted nose and he doesn't miss a game. Nor does he don a visor.

Gauthier: Busted pinky... out for a month.

You make the call!

I suppose it depends on how bad and type of fracture, but it's the nature of the game, if it's non-displaced, One month, seems excessive. Edit: He has to have surgery, so it was obviously a bad break. Ok....Karma is a you know.

Seems the same as skating with a broken toe. It hurts like hell but you do it.

Have you ever camped out in the crease every shift of a game with a broken nose and no face shield?

Just wondering.

Yep. Roasted marshmellows and sang songs there, too.

Actually, I have... thankfully it was my right hand, and being a right handed shot, the problems were lessened.

Good grief, people; he's not the Devil. It was a clean hit in the preseason that he sort of apologized for. The majority of your anger is directed at the fans who bashed JR and Avery for their comments after the incident. Gauthier isn't enough of a bad guy to warrant such revelling at his injury. Keep in mind who you're really upset with.
