May be a dumb question, but where does Mathieu Carle fit into the puzzle of the Ducks roster?

Interesting, think he's the most at risk of getting claimed as a 'project', though I think he's at best going to be a third line forward now, more likely to be a 4th line grinder with some offensive skill.
Well, I doubt someone takes a "project" player because they have to keep them in the 23 man lineup. If they assign to the minors, we get first dibbs.

A lower tier team would be happy to keep him up really to add some bite to their bottom 6, would give him NHL experience without the pressure pretty much, but I agree it's unlikely.
I'm surprised Maroon even made it this long. I haven't been that impressed. DSP looked better, and I want him sent down.
Maybe they kept him up because they didn't want to waive him? Although that argument didn't help Sexton. I guess Maroon also looked better than Sexton.
I disagree that he looks slow on feet. I think it's mostly he's still slow in terms of thinking the game. And I think he has shown pretty good hitting.
He threw one or two hits but I was expecting more of a wrecking ball, and he isn't that. Actually he sort of reminds me of Mike Leclerc. Willing, good hitter when he gets a chance, but usually too slow to make it there in time.

Not that I think Maroon is good enough to make the side at the moment but it seems stupid to lose him to waivers just to keep DSP who is IMO clearly not ready up for 9 games.
In all likelihood, Maroon doesn't become anything special and he may very well go unclaimed but if he does get claimed and he pans out this looks stupid.
Anyone know what is going on with Parros? He was excused for "personal reasons" and now watching the season preview Hazy & Alhers mentioned he might not be available to start the season.
