PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE:
QUOTES TO NOTE:
It was an important game for all of us, but there was an added motivation for Hank. He's done so much for us.
There are nights when he stands on his head and wins us games, so this was special to him and it was important to us because it was special for him.
- Brian Boyle
I've been thinking about this day almost every hour the past few days, and I wasn't sure how I'd react to it.
It was very emotional. I didn't cry, but I was close.
- Henrik Lundqvist
I thought all guys that were sent down have had good camps. It’s encouraging to me to think we added to depth.
As far as forwards I’d like to just carry 13. I’m not sure who the 13th forward is. Erik and Sean are battling for that spot.
- John Tortorella
NEW YORK RANGERS
PROJECTED LINES:
Brian Boyle - Brad Richards (A) - Marian Gaborik (A)
Brandon Dubinsky - Artem Anisimov - Ryan Callahan (C)
Ruslan Fedotenko - Erik Christensen - Brandon Prust
Mike Rupp - Derek Stepan - Mats Zuccarello
Ryan McDonagh - Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto - Steve Eminger
Brendan Bell - Stu Bickel
*Healthy Scratches: Wolski, Avery
STARTING GOALIE:
Henrik Lundqvist
Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

Kind of sad that NHLN is not carrying this game and is opting instead to show a repeat of tonight's Wings/Leafs game.

Joe Rulier (AHL diva and wannabe-tough guy), Richard Jackman and Miro Satan I recognize off that roster... nobody else.

I think Lundqvist will start. He said he was going to start against Frölunda and Bratislava.

Don't quote me, but the Rangers (after the cuts now with more or less the set roster) should kill them...
OH SHNAP, get this former Icelander out of my face!!!
And yea, if we lose tomorrow, I'll be concerned.

Yes, I can finally watch this one.
Hope they try Boyle/Dubinsky at LW with Richards/Gaborik one of these days...maybe tomorrow could be that day.

I'm sure there will be a feed somewhere online.
And if you had Center Ice, would you get preseason games as part of the package?

Is that the David Skokan we drafted in 07?
And Miro Satan! Cool to see him, too.

I have CI, actually have had for the past 9 years, they don't carry preseason games.

All Rangers games (those that were televised) have been shown on CI.. of course I'm not in NY or that area.. maybe they black it out for you guys..

Just out of curiosity, do you get both feeds (home and away) broadcast for the Rangers games? Or do you have to listen to a specific one.

I'm only watching if Richards is playing. I had enough of watching preseason. Especially vs European teams.

Nothing listed on the CI channels on DirecTV, nothing listed on the NHL website or the DirecTV website about available games tonight. Do you also purchase the sports package for the regional sports networks? I don't any longer but when I did I was able to watch preseason games since those are never blacked out.

99 times out of 100 I get both feeds, occasionally they only offer one feed and when that happens it's never the MSG feed.

Is this the last chance for Avery and EC? Will Torts want his opening night roster on the ice Monday afternoon?

One of them has to be cut by October 5th. Whether Torts will do the cut after tomorrow's game is another question, but the cut has to be in by the 5th.
