Is CdH allowed to play in Bridgeport? I thought he had to go back to Oshawa if he got cut...

He is 20 years old, theoretically he could go back as an overager but that would be counter productive

Roster has to get down to 23 if not mistaken.....

taking Haley out brings the number to 28

Expect Reese and Frischmon as 2 more easy choices

Expect Strome to be returned to junior team...

Kabonov to Tigers......

Gillies on a 2 way to minors...If Pandolfo is signed ...Signed to a 2 way I would think as well

13 forwards

Mouslon JT Pap

Grabner Franzie Okposo

Comeau Bailey Nino

Rolston Reasoner Pandolfo/ Martin

7 Dmen

Streit Staios

Amac Hamonic

Eaton Mottau/ Jurcina

3 Goalies

DP
Nabby
AL

23 Roster Number......

Can Kabanov be assigned to the Bridge? I thought it was the Isles or juniors for him. Someone on here reported that he was going to Sweden but I can find no confirmation of that.

Apart from that I think you've got it except they will keep Gillies for reasons no one will ever know...

Me thinks Nino is going back to Portalnd or there is a trade coming for a d-man.

He had a two way contract the past two seasons, and a AHL/ECHL contract the two years prior to that.

I really hope we don't keep Pandolfo. He's a good player, but there's no room for him.

Since Kabonov has signed an Entry level Contract I am expecting him to play for the Tigers.....just my Guess...

Really Like the Kid.....seems he has just as much upside as Nino

Just has to keep his head on tight.....

Very happy that these young defenseman will learn to become pros before they enter the NHL. No need to overwhelm any of them. Defenseman in particular largely benefit from refining their skills in the AHL.

afaik, he cannot play for bridgeport yet as he is still only 19...unless he gets special permission from his jr. team. that would leave his only options as jr's or europe.

I thnk it would be a mistake for Kabanov to go to Sweden, he hasn't even dominated a full junior season yet, he needs a season of domination in the Q. At least 30 goals and 80 points or I think it would be a disappointing season.

Sweden would be good for him if he decides to have a career there, but if he plans on playing for the Isles in the future, he needs success on North American rinks. He was quite impressive during the preseason, going to Sweden would be a mistake IMHO.

He's too young to play for Bridgeport.

Going to bridgeport is no guarantee any of these guys will ever be called up or make the team this year or any other year. Most players sent to AHL clubs have a long road ahead of them if they ever hope to make it to the NHL. Let's see how all of them perform, and most importantly deal with injuries, which some on the D list sent down have had a litany of, before we pass judgement.

Send Strome & Kabanov back already. Neither one of them are ready. Nino probably isn't ready either. He has a really quick release which is great, but he isn't particularly good at carrying the puck.

Doesn't hurt either of them to stay in camp for the week to see how pros practice, etc.

Yep, no point in wasting time on them at this point. They got a taste and can go back down. We need our regulars playing and practicing together and weed out the guys that won't be here this year.

Nino is hurt I believe, but we do not need him this year and from what I read he did not light up camp. Send him back to juniors and let him dominate another year, it can not hurt his development or the team this year and in the future. Enough handing spots out to kids based on DOB.

Actually I believe his contract is getting us over the floor as of today. Unless you sign Pandolfo to almost a 2 million dollar cap hit (heavy, heavy bonuses ).

I don't know much about the cap, so I'm just wondering, why do we need to get to the floor?

Terrible if he makes the team due to his cap hit and not his play

Rather Haley than gilles.....Strome kabanov will go back to Juniors.....Frishmon to wherever and Pandolfo I see being let go...Reese let go and the isles will have to play who they think is better between Staios and Mattou

This is a rule. You need to have a minimum of 48.3 million $.

Nino has a cap hit of 2.7 million $, the islanders are with Nino on 49.9.

To be honest, I'm not well versed on it either. From what I can tell, it is forbidden to go under the floor but there are no expressed penalties that one would face. So Garth may be tempting fate if he goes under the floor, but it may just be a slap on the wrist.

But I hope someone else can take a look at our cap situation because like I said I'm not well versed in cap-ology at all.

Im really going to be pissed if Haley was sent down in order for Pandalfo to make this team. Pandalfo has done nothing at this point to make me believe he has won a job over haley.

I think the main penalty for not reaching the floor is that they don't qualify for revenue sharing ie. they stand to lose a lot of money if they stay below.
