Appears that either Lander has made the team, or RNH is staying past the 9 games.

Edit: Both apparently, with Gagner out for a while.

Like I said in the waivers sticky, even though we all jump and say someone will be claimed and he ends up clearing, I find it hard to believe not one of the 29 other teams puts in a claim for Brule. He's an NHL player and although he hasn't lived up to his draft position, the teams he's been on (CBJ and EDM) have struggled greatly during his time with each. If given an opportunity to play a bottom 6 role for a team that might be a better fit, he could end up doing well.

Habs fans have said they want to get a righty 4th line center. This could be the opportunity.

With Grabovski and Kadri injured, I could see the Leafs claiming him.

He brings truculence.

I have a funny feeling He will be a Leaf, wish we could have kept him for a little longer, but I guess this probably means Lander made the team. Still a good 3rd liner IMO.

09-10 was a result of him playing with Penner, they managed to form some chemistry. (or maybe Brule was just mooching of him)

It's funny how Cherry never bothers to replay that video footage whenever he feels like telling the world he knows best.

I was so mad when they took Price, I wanted to punch the tv!! I was seeing Brule as our chance to finally have an offensive star.

Can't always be right

Thing is who knows had he been in Montreal in a different situation maybe he would be a star right now. Not saying he would be just that it could have happened.

To be fair I think Brule got developed very poorly. I seem to remember a number of people throwing out the "he's got nothing left to learning in junior" argument for him playing in the NHL right away, when really he was a small guy who played pretty aggresively and could have probably used more time before hitting the big leagues. He got hurt right away in the NHL and seems to still be getting hurt.
I loved him in junior, one of my favourite all time Giants. Hope he gets picked up by someone, I wouldn't mind him on the Canucks if he didn't make so much money.

Ryan O'Marra waived too, that's surprising. I hope nobody picks him up.

His cap hit is very high for what he brings but I do think he still has potential.

You must see something in him that I don't. I think we should let someone take him. Why do you like him?

Phoniex. Without Turris seem like they would need a center

We're busy with one former Columbus 1st round pick, I think two is too much
