only a couple of games in really, but it's nice to see that

and nice to see labarbera doing well also. I've caught a few games of his and he's looked sharp...much more in control than he was in his games with the rangers. hope he keeps it up

Is there any awards he could win, like player of the week/month, rookie of the week/month?

Labby is number 2 in GAA and number 3 in SV%? I knew he was doing well through 3 games, but wow!

I think there is a rookie of the month and then there is player of the week.

Like 500 said they have rookie of the month...but I dont see Lundqvist getting it over Crosby or Ovechkin, both of them have averaged a point a game and Crosby even more i believe.

There is Offensive player of the week, and defensive player of the week.

Yeah it's too bad they never gave him a chance, considering they have no other young possible star goalies coming through their system...

It's only 7 games. This is like going nuts and gloating of someone leads all of baseball in homeruns after the first week. Kind of hard to get excited after 7 games. And some lots of teams have not played more than 5 or 6.

Oh really? Yeah, see we were all under the impression that it was a full seasons worth of stats. Thanks for being the 9,000th person to mention that "it's still early."

Being 1st and 2nd is better than being 29th and 30th, even if it is early...wouldn't you agree? I'm having no trouble getting excited after 7 games. In terms of the Rangers I'll take what I can get these days, no matter the duration.
