QUOTES TO NOTE:

I was thinking about Demitra during the anthems. It was an emotional moment.
It's exciting and special to come back here and play. The atmosphere was unbelievable.

We talked after the first period that that was our morning skate. We got going after that.
- Henrik Lundqvist

That team came out and in this situation, all the teams we're playing here want to beat us to say they beat a NHL team.
After that first period we had the puck more and the power play helped.

Yep.

Think this one could've been scheduled earlier so reserves could play. But its likely the guys wont have to play 100% the whole game.

So does Christensen sit tomorrow and Avery gets his turn to shine?

Doubt it, I bet they both play

Yep, I won't be watching either since I'll be in class. Would bring my laptop and catch a stream but I won't be able to watch the end since I'll be on the train so there's no point. Doesn't sound like I'll be missing much based on the posts in this thread anyway. I'll catch the replay on MSG tomorrow night.

LGR!

Why couldn't this be a 1 PM game?

I have a free from 1:15 to 2:00.

Dumb schedule!

When do they come back to the states? These odd ball times are pissing me off. I haven't seen the last 3 games. I assume the game against LA is going to be a 1pm game too?

What really pisses me off is that I'm gonna miss the season opener. I they played that at 3, at least I'd see the last 2 periods, but now I'll have to watch it recorded.

This.

Was there some league mandated roster limit that forced them to make those cuts a couple of days ago, or did they do it to make sure the Whale were intact as soon as possible? The big boys should be resting for this one.

Why are you guys complaining about not being able to watch because of class? Watch in class. That's what I'll be doing.

I don't think they should be resting. From the parts of the preseason games I've watched, Gaborik and Richards haven't been anything special. I honestly don't understand why they didn't even play that often.
