Avery has outplayed Christensen by a large margin this preseason.
Agreed, but he's also taken his usual bad penalties.

I can't disagree more. Erixon has played better than MDZ and Bickel. MDZ is still throwing the puck away on a regular basis, even when he has time to skate it up the ice. Parlett has been just as good as Bell in the offensive zone and better in his own. All you have to do is watch the Frolunda game where Parlett an Bell are the ice. Bell lets his man high get away from him while Parlett is directing traffic and staying tight to his man coming back. When it comes down to it, Parlett and Erixon can be optioned to Hartford because of their contracts and Bickel carries a smaller cap hit.

I don't know why people keep saying this. Last year he was better than 50%. By percentage, Dubinsky was #34 in the League, Richards was #48. That's not too far apart ranking league wide. 2 years ago, Richards was ranked #34 and just slightly higher of a percentage then Dubinsky though Dubinsky took too few to be considered among the league leaders according NHL.com. They were separated by .2
I don't get why some people here are so weird about Hagelin. The guy is never gonna be a goalscorer. He's a 40 point per year guy at BEST. His game is all about energy and pitch in with that occasional goal on the 3rd line. He's the perfect 3rd line player, not enough natural raw skills to be playing top6.
He's a momentum changer, he'll score some goals when Gaborik, Richards, Wolski, Dubinsky etc can't get it done for whatever reason. He'll be the one going up and down the ice with his blazing speed that will even make the vets on the team feel encouraged, and I think that once he feels comfortable on the roster, he will be a leader in the locker room as well.
