Bailey needs reliable and consistent partners while I think JT can help Brule reach his full potential, which I think is a 60-65 point playmaker who can play in all zones.

I love that you would consider moving Comeau who had only 14 less goals last season than Brule has in his 6 year NHL career.

Everyone must understand that Comeau played terrible Saturday at Bridgeport (I was at game). He didn't hustle, play defense, and was a puck hog who turned the puck over. I'm still baffled how this man got 22 goals...

Well, that obviously seals it. He played a bad preseason game.

Sheesh.

Comeau is one hell of a frustrating player. He can be so much more than what he is. Everything is there, but he's got his head in the clouds too often. In many ways, he reminds me of Kvasha... but at least he's better than Oleg.

No offense. I think it's a pointless discussion if you know all the details or watched oilers games this year.
he will clear waivers. no nhl gm will put a claim in for him.

carry on.

I dont know if I'm still crying a river but Nilsson had the goods he just didnt have the heart. You would think he would understand how to be a pro with his father playing in the nhl for so many years. Yes we should have selected Parise but Nilsson had some serious skill. I guess thats a discussion for another day.

Okay, Comeau isn't a perfect player... but you do realize that the idea being proposed is to trade him and pluck a guy who's produced much, much less and is much, much more frustrating?

Oh, hell no!!!! Don't mistake me for saying that I'd rather have Brule. That's not what I meant!! Brule can be salvaged on a team where he can hide... like the Red Wings.

I don't want Brule!!!!!

I love Comeau when he's on. I just wish he would be on more often.

Sorry for any confusion.

* I will always get a kick out of Brule for one reason, and it's not even his fault, but his former GM (Doug McLean) actually said that he was right there with Crosby. If there was ever a GM who was absolutely horrible at rating his prospects, it's Doug McLean. He also would have taken taken Derrick Brassard over Phil Kessel. So he's either a liar, or he just sucks... or both. Probably both.

McLean is big on the interviews...

After interviewing JBo he immediately got on the phone to move up in order to take Nash.

Same goes for Kessel. He told Phil he'll probably be gone by the time the Jackets draft, but would have never drafted him even if he was available.

That's absolutely right. He nailed it with Nash. JBO is an enormous baby. With that said, Nash was McLean's only worth while pick. McLean was a rough GM for Columbus.
