Sean Avery, the most over-glorified bottom 6 forward in the league... Amazing how much attention this guy generates for such marginal contributions on the ice.... Wake me up when he cracks the 40 point mark for the 2nd time in his career... I really don't care whether it's Avery or Christensen carried as the 13th forward, because both players are inconsistent and undeserving of regular roles in the line-up...

Pre-game show underway.

I'm pretty steady in German, but Swiss-German is kinda messing with my head.

Swiss-German is not really the same as German. The Germans don't understand us, while we (have to) speak German in school and can understand them.

Yeah, I know. That's why it is messing with my head. It sounds like German, but I can't understand it.

Thanks Lev, that's what I thought.

Interesting to see Brendan Bell back on Swiss ice. He played for my hometown team EHC Biel last season. How is he doing in NY?

Much better than expected. He will likely stay with the Rangers to start the season.

Everyone had pretty much assumed he was AHL fodder when we signed him, but he has been surprisingly solid. He's going to make the club out of camp it looks like.
