GDT: Columbus vs. Dallas

This is going to be ugly unless they collectively stop the bleeding,
I have reason not to think Dallas won't beat us handedly, 5-1

For some reason, I have a good feeling about this game. As most of you know, I'm usually pretty negative towards the Jackets, but when I have a good feeling, it usually comes true. 5-1 Jackets, Nash with his first pro trick and Tugger gets pulled

I predict 3-2 Blue Jackets. Sellout Crowd and Doug in as close to lose-and-your-out mode as hes going to get helps them win this one.

Anders Ericksson in the line up is not a good sign. Especially when he's in a lineup with McDonnell, Nedorost, Fritsche, Ling, and Walser. I'm not knocking any of these guys - but that's more of an AHL flavor than we had last season. Mmmmm...Crunchy.

No Klesla. No Wescott. No Letowski. No Wright. No way.

Stars are playing terrible. Daley starts on defense in place of Boucher who is hurt. Tugger in net first start all year. Tippet already on the hot seat. Columbus has a good chance.

Boucher is playing tonite, Good to see a scoreless first, besides the beautiful pass to Numminen from Ott, Dallas really didn't have much chances, of course, they got no PP oppurtunites either. Bad Penalty by Modano, but the Jackets couldn't capitalize...depending on the final outcome, the inability to score on that extended 2man advantage might come back to haunt us...

Quick question, guys. I've been out of the loop for the last day and just turned on the game. Where's Sanderson and Klesla, and why isn't Tugger playing?

Man... is Modano getting frustrated...Ling just pasted him with a good hit and Modano viciously slashed and broke his stick across Ling 10 minute misconduct for Mikey... Is it the 2 game skid emotions?

Yeah - where is Sandy? Anyone? Anyone?

I missed the first and picked up the second right as Mikey Lumberjack went off.

Our defense is doing a stellar job handling a ferocious offense and there is some surprising hitting. When Vyborny takes someone out on an open ice check, it's a game!

Eriksson is looking good, as is the rest of the gang from what I've seen. The third should be good.

Another heartbreaker....We jackets fans should be used to this kind of game. 3-2 loss, after we lead 1-0 and 2-1. I noticed Nationwide was quiet tonite... Its gonna only get quieter if this keeps up.... While we can't blame every loss on the refs... they missed a few calls. Just because a team has high emotion and takes many penalties, its no reason for the refs not to call obvious penalties. A fourth straight loss....ugh! Its frustrating, really frustrating... Looking for answers, and I doubt a three game road trip to the opposite side of the continent is what we need to gel....

I think this pretty much sums up the feelings of us Jackets fans after tonight's debacle:

D'OH!

I can't believe there was no mention of Nederost's highlight reel goal to swing the momentum and put the Jackets up 2-1. Nederost has scored 2 even strength goals this season (both while playing on the first line) not bad for a team unable to score 5 on 5. Where's the love

All Hail Nedorost!!!!
One thing, and I know I've whined about it before, but during one of the five on three's, Espen Knutsen, un-challenged at the blue line, dumped the puck in the zone. What the HELL is that all about? Nothing gets me going more than blatantly idiodic moves like this.

There never was any. If we ever go to Metro-Style inside jokes/names, he would be known as "He Who Shall Not be Named"

He did this OFTEN last night. He did not have a good game. He's playing with heart and making an effort, I just don't see it applied as well as he has previously. I don't know what is going on with his game - he's not adjusting well to playing wing, I guess.

Knutsen has looked comfortable since year two... Plain and Simple. Good to see Nedorost play a pretty decent game after he was invisible against Nashville and Detroit, but I still don't think he's there yet.
