Brandon Saad, the 43rd pick in the 2011 NHL draft, is the 2nd player outside of the first round in the last 10 years to make the NHL out of juniors.

The good news is that it was Calgary's 2nd round pick he was chosen with.

The bad news is that Chicago owned that pick.
