Countdown to Sunday

On a different site dedicated to sports video games, we'd count down the release of NCAA by posting pics of our favourite and memorable players. Seems like a fun way to kill the time and relive some memories, so I'll get it started.

Steve Penney. The starting goaltender for the Jets for my 1st ever Jets game when I was a kid at the old barn, my grandpa took me. During the pre game warm up he took out a penny and showed it to me and joked about how our goaltender was also a Penney.

I'll definitley be thinking about my grandpa when the Jets skate out

One of my favorite all time Jets was Igor Korolev. He may have not been the most talented Jet ever, but he really ground it out, got his goals, and to me, when I think Jets, I will always think Igor.

RIP

Thought there was a thread for this but what response will Gary Bettman receive at Sundays game, personally I hope it will positive in light of news that Bettman had helped Mark Chipman land a team and had been encouraging him for a few years.

Bettman was on the radio with the score and seemed pretty genuine and happy the jets were back, im all about giving people second chances and hope we treat with him with respect.

I think most in attendance will be experiencing some sort of euphoria that they will be cheering regardless. lol Of course there will be boo-birds in attendance, they do exist. lol
