So I just got myself a few tickets to the two games.. on the B stands at the Rangers-Kings games and on the C stands in the other...
I've never been to the Globe before so I have no idea what to expect, will I even be able to see anything from the C-stands? This will also be my first NHL games ever so I'm pretty pumped
If you never been to Globen you'll be mightily impressed by the arena's architecture, but probably disappointed as well since it's not really suited for hockey.
I love the Rangers, but I simply won't go and see yet another premier in Stockholm. Get to see them live in to friendlies at least.
I was there last year for the first game between San Jose and Columbus. The Globe is a really nice arena, but the crowd wasn't really into it (an odd mix of kids and other hockey fans) and I also thought the game ticket prices needs to be reduced... however, watching the game was an interesting experience for me.
Me and the fiancee will be flying in Friday morning. Have tickets for both games. Really looking forward to it, despite not being a fan of any of the teams. I'm a Flyers fan, she's a Wild fan, so I'll be cheering for LA 'Flyers West' Kings.
Arena shape looks unique to say the least, so I to hope that we get a good view. We are in section B18 for both games.
First time in Sweden and will be hanging around for the Chili Peppers gig on the Tuesday too, so will have plenty of time to take in the city.
Was planning on going but have to work Been there once as a child when there was a musical ^^
Btw anyone know's if it will be on the tele? Haven't seen any commercials this year or read about it in any papers.... Are they expecting göteborgare to snag all the tickets?
I was planning to see the Ducks vs Rangers. Have been looking forward to see the game live for a few months now but unfortunately the tickets is to expensive for me. I would have loved to see Selänne(his last season?), Koivu and Lydman.
I'm going to the NY - LA Kings game with a friend of mine. Looking forward to it, never been in Globen before. Would be kind of cool if some HFboarders would be up for grabbing a beer or something afterwards.

You could get tickets for the SEL game AIK vs SAIK the same night as NYR - Ducks. it is at what one could call an annex to Globen: Hovet. It is just some few meters away. It starts 16:00 and costs just 250 SEK.

Thanks for the tip. I completely wrote off seeing an Eliteserien or Allsvenskan game whilst over there as all local games were on same day as either the premiere games or the concert. Didn't think to check the face off times. Will most probably check this out as well.
It sucked when I was there in '08 and '09. The stands have a completely ****ed up angle.
I share your view.. It's a great arena for most part, and comfy seats, but it's about as bad as it gets for a small ice game. You feel like you're miles away from the action.

Another thing I noticed, when I was there for the Sens-Pens game, was that it almost looked kind of half-empty, even when it was full thanks to the wide passageways between the sections. The arena is pretty far away from Malmö Arena (my regular arena) in a lot of departments, but it's an impressive arena to look at though.
Somehow ticnet messed up my second ticket so I didnt even get one.. and I aint paying 2000sek to get a ticket for a Ducks game.. just aint happening lol. Anyways, I guess 1 NHL game and a SEL game will do it for me. Kind of wished that Sweden Finland played on saturday though in which case I would've cought that game aswell as the NYR-LAK. More time to get drunk I guess
