Consider your faceoff and PK issues a thing of the past.
They'll have a whole new set of PK issues if they're relying on Steckel to make a big impact there.

As for the Betts talk, if it's true that his shoulder issues have severely diminished his faceoff abilities then that makes it a whole new ball game in the trade vs. waiver claim comparison for Burke, I'd think. He needed a faceoff man.

Jeff Schultz is this year's David Steckel.

The Differences between the two:
  • The positions that they play
  • Schultz is several year's younger
  • Steckel is skilled in the dot

The Similarities between the two:
  • Both are large framed
  • Neither use their size, that is play a physical style
  • Both rely heavily on their long reach with the stick when playing defense
  • Both are slow as &%^*

P.S. I miss Scott Hannan

Let's hope Schultz is this year's Steckel.

I wonder who'd be this year's Arnott? Aucoin? Sarich?

Do you mean they are happy? i would've been, who needs 3.8 mill per 4th liner d-bag.
Looks like he's gonna pack his purse and go to Europe, but not KHL.

The cap hit for the rags was only 1.9.

How much more do the Rangers need to bury before Hartford makes more $$$ than the Panthers? And that's without pushing Drury's $7m into retirement.

for the salary? Yes. If he winds up in the minors after clearing waivers, the cap hit is gone.

I'm glad to see Andrew is getting his chance. He deserves it. I like the team too as I've always had a soft spot for Anaheim. mmm... sun and surf

“Sometimes in an organization, you sort of get labelled a certain type of player who only fits a certain type of role,” Gordon told the newspaper. “You come to a new team, it’s a fresh start.

All the best.
