What is you prediction for the season:
[*]Final Standings - 5th in the East[*]Playoffs - 2nd round playoff loss[*]Most points - St.Louis 92[*]Most goals - Stamkos 48[*]MVP - Marty St.Louis (hard to really pick anyone else)[*]Most Improved player - Victor Hedman[*]Most Regressed player - Steve Downie

Hard to pick anyone but St.Louis for MVP, lol. Going with Downie for regressed, but it really depends on where he fits in and if he can keep his head on straight and play like he did the playoffs

Could Ritola breakout? Or is he more likely of a candidate to depart to Europe at seasons end?

Neither? We've got him under contract beyond this season, but who knows at this point.

  • Final Standings - 4th Eastern Conference. Late Jan. slide takes us from top of division but finish strong.
  • Playoffs - 2nd round exit - totally the refs fault though.
  • Most points - Marty St. Louis - 95 pts.
  • Most goals - Lecavalier. 47. (My bold prediction of the year.)
  • MVP - Lecavalier - Puts the team on his back late in the year for a strong finish.
  • Most Improved player - Hedman. Continues to prove why he is so highly touted amongst the league.
  • Most Regressed player - Malone. Will be suspended half of the year for being a dirty head targeting goon.

I predict Corcoran will have at least 16 tweets about Tim Peel and his justified hatred for him.

why is everyone picking Ohlund and Kubina for biggest regression? You need to have a high point first then fall to a low point.. These two are at low points, so unless they both enter in a deep abyss of total suck, they will be far from most regression.

That being said, I would say someone like Purcell. For some reason I just have a feeling about this one.

I can make predictions about other teams left and right, but I get nervous when doing it about my own. I think we're good, maybe the best team in the SE and one of the best in the East, but I don't want to put my foot in my mouth.

Also, as much as I would love a Stanley Cup win, all I can really hope/expect is at the end of the season, everything the Lightning had was left out on the ice. I think that's the difference between say the Caps or the Canucks seasons last year and the Bolts or even to an extent the Sharks and Preds. With each of the last three teams, at the end of the day you felt they played as hard and as well as they could and kind of just fell short, but with the others, you don't. That may have something to do with the expectations of the franchise, but if it is... I don't want to put my guys through that.

And that's a long non-answer to a short question.

Well, if anybody else on the team is progressing or at least not regressing that means even a small regress by Ohlund and/or Kubina makes them the most regressed players.
