I just don't think Burke will let this team fall out of the playoffs for another year, and I'm worried that he's going to make a move for an established player that can help us out in the short term, and may cost significant assets.

I don't see it, if it's going to be significant assets we are moving I fully expect a Phaneuf or Kessel that can help us for many years to come.

He has been vocally against that in the past, and the way he is with his principles, I don't see him changing that tune anytime soon.

WOW

These TSN guys are amazing analysts.

All they did is take last years results and predict the exact same thing this year.

This is why I dont give a rats *** about predictions

I hope so. I've liked his philosophy so far, I'm just a bit concerned that if we have a bad start, we might see a band aid move.

just to add. Burke could very well bury Komi, trade Phaneuf, mortgage the future and put together a playoff team before December. no way to predict anything.

I don't see anything like that tbh, Burkie has been a strict non believer on the plug and play situations, which thank you god has always worked for our favour. Beauch, blake and stajan+ movement, returns help us in the future, so even if we are terrible in the beginning I have a feeling we might been sticking together with the group until we turn around.

The only thing that worries me the most tbh is the Defense not playing up to the way they were last year and reims hindering, aside from that I think we are still in the upward curve we set last year.

I'm pretty sure I heard Pierre McGuire, where ever he is, giggle in joy and excitement when Phaneuf said "were an exciting group, we're young, we've got some size, were a big back end that can move pretty well."

Accuracy of Leafs Report

In just a single 8 minute report on TSN.ca about the Leafs:

- Katherine Dolan reported that James Reimer won 12 games in 30 starts last season (in fact it was 20 wins).

- Ray Ferraro stated that the Leafs always fall behind early in the season (what happened to our 5-2-1 start last season?)

- On the depth chart they had "Gustafsson" as our backup goaltender.

Really TSN? ...Really?
