They did play together at times, especially in the last game against Zug.

Torts has no patience. If he was a baseball manager he would change pitchers after every hit or walk. So we still don't have a first line LW. Chance Kreider signs and joins the team for the playoffs?

I don't know. With Boyle on the so called 4th line I can see them getting serious minutes. There's a huge love fest going on with Boyle on Torts end. I think Boyle's worked his way into being one of Torts boys but. I think it can wind up being 1-2a-2b-2c.

Also loved how Wolski looked with Richards and Gaborik the first time I saw them play together so a little disappointed this isn't happening. Furthermore, I love how Dubinsky looks with Calli and Anisimov and hate how Fedotenko is poised for top 6 minutes. If Wolski's groin really was still hurt, Christensen would be in. No reason to risk the groin so early on if it's still hurt. That's why I'm a little puzzled Wolski won't be out there with them.

Good for Feds, too much hate. Yeah of course he's a good bottom 6, but I think he deserves at least a shot. It's only a game...

It's funny cause it's true.

I don't care if our 1st line is Rupp-Biron-Staal as long as we win games. Would be nice to see some solidity though.

I really hope he does. As soon as BC's season ends.

This team needs Kreider in the worst way.

Its also too bad McIlrath isn't ready yet, because we need a guy like him pretty badly right now.

I'd swap Zuc and Feds. We'll see what happens.

I think Dubi makes the most sense on that top line but the problem is that the other lines suck when you do that.

Torts is right when he says he's robbing Peter to pay Paul. Hopefully that top line is dominant, otherwise it might not be worth it.

Prust and Boyle were great last year, but putting them with Rupp? Blah.

Feds is a heady players but I'll have to see it to believe it when it comes to combining him with Arty and Cally. I just don't know about that.

Wolski-Step-Zuccarello? Who exactly is going to retrieve the puck on that line? We've got the two softest forwards in the lineup on the same line, and our worst skating center iceman. I understand they had a few good games last season, but with how invisible Wolski and Zuke can be, the odds of this working consistently are zero.

Wont last. Not because of Dubinsky, but because of other lines.

Dubinsky is a notorious hot starter. He did it in 2009 with Voros and Zherdev, and last year with the Pack Line.

Keep the Pack Line together. Cally is healthy and AA looks like a man possessed. I can see that line being unstoppable, which means Gaborik and Richards should draw easier matchups.

I'm not sure unstoppable is the right terminology. Neither are 70+ point players we're talking about here.

And even if somehow miraculously they had those types of season, it would STILL take more than that for opposing coaches to worry more about them then Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik.

Hey Supersonic, did you watch any games last year? Stepan had the second best plus minus of any of our forwards, and had the 4th most ice time. Why do you always comment on what a liability he is in his own end. He was a 20 year old 185 pounder that in most peoples minds outplayed most of the forwards on this team last year. Also Ruckus, Why do you think that Wolski Step Zuc line is the forth line? Prust Rupp and Boyle are forth line guys. If we would of not had all the injuries last year Prust and Boyle would of been are 4th line guys.

If you just switch Fedotenko and Wolski, the whole lineup makes sense.

Dubinsky. Richards. Gaborik
Wolski. Anisimov. Callahan
Fedotenko. Stepan. Zuccarello
Rupp. Boyle. Prust

Each of the first three lines has a physical catalyst, a playmaking center, and a skilled offensive winger.

these lines are sketchy.

torts really must work extra hard coming up with combos that are bound to not work

doesnt matter, well see everyone mixed up and changed the moment we dont score for 2 periods.

w2 already on line 3 ?. ill give him 2 games before hes demoted to line 5

chemistry.... who needs stinkin chemistry

Without stat surfing, yes, I did, and most people who paid attention would tell you that line was a huge defensive liability and a turnover monster.

Does that mean Stepan is a bad defensive player? No, it doesn't.

But Stepan flanked by two liabilities, creates a small issue.

Besides that, where have I called Stepan a bad defensive player for you to ask why I KEEP saying it?

Im not at all worried about Stepan. In fact id like him to get more ice time then he probably will.

Id like him getting top PP unit time, and id like him to get PK time as well.

I don't think its in anyones best interest to have that line together too long, though. I have no faith in Wolski unless the puck is deep in the offensive zone.

Wolski should be with Anisimov and Callahan who are two of the team's top two way forwards.

I don't believe I've said anything detracting about Stepan, ever, other then his skating and faceoffs need work.

that top line makes the most sense. it also makes us top heavy talent wise

imo, if we swap w2 and feds we have more balance

doesnt matter really. torts will change it up.

I agree but I'd rather Dubi on the top line and W2 on the 3rd than W2 on the first and Dubi on the second.

Dont have a problem with Feds where he is. Hes usually involved in a good forechecking game, gets to the net and is involved in scoring chances. Thats something Wolski is hit or miss with. A good way to start the season is falling into good habits, and Fedotenko - while not the most fleet of foot or slick of hand - gets the job done and will help set a good tone on that line.

And i wouldnt worry too much about time distribution, because i think it will be pretty well distributed past the 1st line. Torts will have to keep the team fresh anyway being in Europe and all the travel coming up.
