I understand. But for me and my pals that was the cup winner. No way boston was going to win at the Spectrum.

I'm torn on this. Part of me thinks it'd make the team hungrier if they were out on the ice watching it go up. But since we're starting so many rookies, it could be somewhat intimidating.

Depends.

Watch it on a monitor.

If they want to see a Stanley Cup banner raised, go win a Cup for yourself, and then you can watch it.

They should moon the bruins from the bench the entire time.

obvious post is obvious

At first thought, I love the idea. But I wonder how it'd affect them if they were out there watching it go up, with the Boston fans going nuts.

There is also a physical element involved. Some players and staff would prefer not to be stationary which is what would happen by being isolated to the bench. Being in the back halls, there are ways to keep active and loose.

It's been too long. Looking forward to seeing some of the young pups in their first regular season game. Very eager to see Jagr play his game.

Hey, look at this, Rinaldo is used as an example on how to make a hit by Shanahan (it's rather late in the video, about 3.10). Although, they include one hit by numbnut Gillies from the Islanders as well, so maybe they are just trying to show that they aren't judging these guys beforehand.

Mes does something good as well, but that's not quite as remarkable.

Never has a win in the season opener been so important.
It would take so much pressure from the newly formed core!
