News on the Bakersfield prospects

Manchester Monarchs (AHL) - Recalled goaltender Ryan Munce from Bakersfield of the ECHL.

NOTE:I hope this doesnt mean an injury in Manchester or a new home for Munce. I think Bakersfield only has one goaltender left on the roster. This hasnt been post on the Manchester site yet.

Bakersfield Condors (ECHL) - placed right wing Eric Neilson on injured reserve.

NOTE:This is all I know right now.

-----

If I am not mistaken the ECHL should finalize their rosters later today.

Here are the rosters for the ECHL but it not final for all teams yet.

No word here (Manchester) on any injuries to either Hauser or Brust. Maybe they plan on sending Munce to Reading?

The Monarchs are in TX this weekend for games against San Antonio & Houston.

Hauser did his weekly spot on the Charlie Sherman (local radio) show this morning (he called in from the airport) and made no mention of either he or Brust being injured. Could be the start of the back-up rotation we're expecting or a "paper" transaction if Bakersfield has a numbers situation???

edit: back-up rotation is expected to be Fukufuji and Brust rotating in and out of Manchester so Munce will probably remain in Bakersfield...

From the Condors web site:
Quote:
The final individuals released from training camp were RW L.P. Martin, D Peter Larsson, and LW Oscar Stenberg. RW Eric Neilson, selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 5th round of the 2004 NHL Draft, will begin the season on the 7-day injured reserve. G Ryan Munce, another prospect from the Kings organization, has been recalled by the Kings’ AHL affiliate in Manchester.
Link
Still confused as to what this means for Munce.
