Criminy, hon. While you're at it, why not just also throw in a career-ending injury for Josi, a first overall pick finish but with that draft pick traded by Poile, a sudden unexpected purchase by Jim Balsillie, and another flood of the Cumberland River in early March or late October or something.

Or, heck, you could at least do us a favor and have Weber go to Detroit and Suter come here to Columbus.

Mike Fisher & Carrie Underwood get a divorce after Mike finds Carrie cheating with Sean Avery.

Both Suter and Weber sign long-term deals with the Preds.
Lindback outplays Rinne, resulting in Rinne getting dealt at the deadline for a 70pt player
Colin Wilson scores 60pts
David Legwand plays like an actual top 6 center
the team makes the conference finals

If all we are getting for rinne is a 70 point player someone isn't doing their job right.

I dunno. There aren't that many 70pt guys in the league. If Lindback is playing lights out I'd be ok with trading Rinne for Kesler, Kane, Giroux, Toews, or Ryan

With that said, it ain't happening.

He'd have to score 67 goal and 130 points to finish 2nd. Preds players will never win a major NHL award last season should have proven that.

Sad thing is all of these are more likely than the Power Play fininising in the top 20 or higher

Unlike ThirdManIn, I think your glass has a hole in the bottom. I would be surprised if 25% of your predictions came true. Is this the Jeanne Dixon technique? Make 17 predictions and hope that 2 or 3 hit?

I like to pretend that our team hates the Red Wings so much that they would never sign with them if FA hits.

But I know it's not true.

The series has been more or less even so far in the last few years, right? And we haven't beat you guys at home in, like, forever.

What does that suggest about your recent record in Nationwide Arena?

I'm not at all concerned about the home opener. Not at all.

He probably will be claimed before he gets to us. Seen him play a few games and was blown away. He is the next Grabner.

Preds deal Klein to Winnipeg for Ron Hainsey before the deadline. Hainsey scores 6 goals in each of the remaining games.

Ha I don't know - it was really just a joke...I know he has one in WI, but Nashville seems more farmer-friendly.

I still don't know what we were thinking when we gave Hainsey up, what with that goal-scoring ability. Every single game for us, too!

Craig Smith shocks the world by not keeping up his current pace, and falls short of 82 goals.

Two games does not make a season, but the kid is off to a good start. Good nose for the net, as both of his goals were from close in.
