Woywitka is useless.

Odd. I don't know much about him, but I thought there were better options on waivers in the last days.

I had a sinking feelings this would happen when I saw him on waivers. Sather loves former 1st rounders.

Not a bad 7th option, I suppose, until Staal is back.

He's not terrible. Woywitka is a depth defenseman.

Anything is a better option than Bickel or Bell

Woywitka's cap hit is $650,000

For 650K, he can eat as many free hotdogs in the pressbox as he wants, all 82 games long

$105,000 AHL which does not require re-entry waivers

At this point I couldnt care less. Just hope that one day we won't have to scour the wire to add a player to our team. Not too many contenders looking to the wire.

Awful. Just awful.

I'd rather give Ethe young guys the chance.

Didn't the Canucks just claim Weise from us?

One of the other D has to be assigned to the AHL. Bickel or Bell. They already cleared waivers. 24 players on the roster. 2G 13F 9D.

Both Bell and Bickel have had poor games, but Bell has more experience and I'd rather him spend time in the pressbox than Bickel, who can actually play a lot in Hartford and maybe improve...

Van is A LOT more put together and they got a guy for free that they wanted to trade for anyway. So HF standard is in full effect - 1 example makes it a constant.

I like how a few of the twitter accounts are saying "...played with Brad Richards".

In all seriousness, if it doesn't work out, to the AHL he goes. After this season he is off the books anyways.

Not surprised anyways, I guess they felt he was a better option then Mara...

Waivers aren't based on one-way or two-way deals, unless you're playing NHL 12.
