The Rays are luckier than the Canes.

Don't worry, every time the Braves don't make the playoffs, the Canes do amazing. Seriously do some research.

As an O's fan, It's nice to knock Boston out of the playoffs, but I'd rather have the Sox in instead of the Rays. I despise that team, something about them (luck) just irks me.

Down 3-2 on Tues: NYY has bases loaded 0 outs: Get triple play: bull****

Down 7-0 in 8th: Score six runs, tie game in 9th with one strike left: bull****

Tied 7-7: NYY has runners on corner 0 outs: Ground ball to 3rd to tag runner: bull****

Tied 7-7: Hit GW HR on the weakest HR I've ever seen: bull****

Someone is watching over this team.... Anton?

I wouldn't say luck so much as the Yanks basically picked their ALCS opponent. I've seen tougher pitches in batting practice.

Ironically, you may recall my earlier comment that I was basically just waiting for the playoffs to invest my time in the Braves. Well, I bothered watching last night's game... which assured I won't be watching the playoffs after all.

Just like the old days, 5 months where the outcome seemed predetermined followed by a short, painful end that makes hockey season that much more welcome.

Well, at least your hockey team doesn't throw it all out the window on the last day of the season.

Oh...

Too bad though that even if they knock off the Phillies (which I hope they do) they won't get anywhere against my ARZ Diamondbacks =)

True. The Yanks better hope they don't meet the Rays in the ALCS. They left the door wide open for them to swoop in and take it.

The Yankees better worry first and foremost about the Tigers, cause with Verlander pitching twice they might need to win 3 straight games between his starts to even have a chance.

Ugh.

Fall weather.

The only time the weather should be cold is if there's snow planned in the next 24 hours. Every other time, it should be a good 74 degrees.

The weather is almost as perfect today as Chad Larose's smile.

That is to say, it is flawless. It should be roughly this temperature for 70% of the year, only pausing for a nice long winter. Summer is horrible and should be evicted from the seasonal calender.

Has anyone ever gotten a kidney stone? It's more painful than Chad LaRose on the first line or listening to our fans say shoot on the power play when 2 men are between the puck possessor and the net. At 24, I'm too young for this.
