Gameday: Canucks vs. Wild Part 2 7:00 pm CST

vs.
Vancouver Canucks 2-1-1 Minnesota Wild 2-1-1

10/14/2005 7:00 p.m.
Xcel Energy Center St. Paul MN
TV - FSN North, TSN
Radio - WCCO-830 AM

After last nights beat down of the Canucks the Wild looked like the team we all saw in the 2003 playoffs. A hard skating team that capitalized on the Canucks mistakes. After being embarrassed I expect the Canucks to come out firing on all cylinders. Roloson seems to have the Canucks number and the Wild has Cloutier's number. I think the Wild will sweep the two game set winning 3-1. Well at least they better because I am going to be at the game.

GO WILD!!!

I think the Canucks will put in a better effort but lose 3-1.

Minnesota gets schooled finally by the Nucks. That 6-0 clubbing that Minnesota put on the Nucks embarassed them and they need to come out firing. If they lose this game, it will resonate throughout the year.

I gotta disagree about it "resonating throughout the year". Unless we get spanked 6-0 AGAIN by the Wild, I don't think losing alone will affect the team too much. We'd still be at .500, not great but not horrible either. I'm pretty sure we will lose, Minnesota just owns the Canucks. Hopefully we can get it to OT or something, and at least pick up a point.

Don't know. I think that given the amount of games that Minnesota and Vancouver play, I think it could be very important for the Canucks to win most of their games against Minnesota. What they play? 6 games? 12 points...

I expect to see a much stronger showing from Vancouver tonight. Tighter defensively, harder skating, more effort all around. The Wild will probably slump a little. I predict a close loss for us. White is out with a bruised thigh (thankfully it's not a bad knee injury.. dodged one on that hit). Last I read the team hadn't decided yet if they'd call someone up or just go with what we've got.

Matt Foy really impressed me last game. Looking at his OHL stats (his name seemed to ring a bell, but I couldn't remember hearing about the guy before), looks like you have quite a prospect there.. and they way he was flying.. man.

And with Gabo, PMB, etc.. what a future you guys got. What's the word on Koivu?

These back to back games are kinda neat. Hope the Canucks respond though

Hope the Canucks come back tonight, we know Minnesota will be ready.

I would actually root for the Wild if they were in another division, I like lots of their young guys, and how they always seem to be ready to go.

Good luck after tonight.

3-3 tie after 2 periods.

Graet play by Rolston at the end of the period to get the third goal. Also a picture perfect pass by Robitille to set up Bouchards goal. Walz scored the first goal with a really nice effort.
WILD HAVE 9 OR 10 SHOTS AFTER 2 PERIODS to the canucks 28.

It's actually 31-9 Canucks...

We honestly have a curse, how can it be the only time the Wild touch the puck they score. They aren't that talented of a team...

The only time Diagle has been noticed and he fires the puck 4908374 feet wide. . .

Unfortunately, Daigle has been a non-factor so far this season... Maybe he should go back to acting after all.

what are you talking about its never like this for us. Its only happening today and besides if Gaborik and Koivu are here more of those shots are goals. yetserday and in all are other games we didnt score on every shot. WE got 28 shots and 6 goals. yea we score on EVERY shot The Wild have to work just like every other team in the NHL.

How are the Wild not a talented team. If you can say this then we can say the canucks are losers because we beat them alot worse and were faster and its not like you guys killed us 6-0. it doesnt matter how many shots you have its how many go\ in the net.

You guys have some talented youngster's (Bouchard, Burns) and of course a stud in Gaborik who's on the sidelines right now. Some lucky goals against us? Yeah, but positionally the Wild are among the top 5 teams in the league. Doesn't mean I can;t hate you guys though.

Tough loss by the Wild, but it was one of those loss where I was upset because we played a great game, but lost to a good team. It was going to be hard to beat the Canucks twice in a row. I had a great time up at the X great people I missed the atmosphere. I am really impressed with Matt Foy you can tell he really wants to stay with the team, and imo they better not send him down when Gaborik and Koivu came back. I think he has earned his spot on the roster after these last few games. It is finally good to see PMB is becoming the great scorer that we all thought he would. I really like the pick up of Rolston, I just like the way he just puts the puck on the net. The only problem I had with people is behind me in the standing room area there was an obnoxious, it is fine if your an opposing fan cheering for your team, but she was screaming like a banshee. Especially on the lat Bertuzzi goal. The coolest part was in the first period in my section a few rows down sat Marion Gaborik and his girl friend. I was shocked that he would be sitting down there and not in Risebrough’s box. I took some pictures and I will try to put them on here later though I could only get a portion of his head. Then after the first I was walking in the concourse and Gaborik walked by. I just said "Hey Marian" He looked at me and just grunted "eh". Hopefully Gaborik can back on Sunday and we can bury the Ducks.

We must have been watching two different games, because I thought Wild played like crap.
