Hartnell goes no where. Honestly, we could just send down Rinaldo and bring up Schenn and make Read play center on the 4th line.

Hartnell-Briere-Voracek
JVR-Giroux-Jagr
Couturier-Schenn-Simmonds
Talbot-Read-Nodl

Awesome as hell 4 lines.

Yes, he showed his value to tonight, had a few nice offensive plays also (ie the backhand pass to Lilja)
Couturier was really strong on the PK and seemed to be a puck magnet on D. He is definitely highly thought of by Lavi.
Read had a lot of blips but he also proved to be strong on the PK and you could see the talent he has, I wasn't even mad when he tried to do too much a few times because it looks like he has that ability.
Talbot was very impressive also. I really liked the PK.
The 4th line looked really strong and helped settle things when the rest of the team was having trouble to start the game.
G and Jagr look scary

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Jagr got his 1600th point tonight.

An analogy...

Bryzgalov tonight made 22 saves on 23 shots and we won 2-1

if it were Boucher

at best 20 saves on 23 shots and we lose...or we go into a shootout and he looks like a pilon

if it were Leighton

0 saves on 23 shots and we forfeit the season....

Just sending down Rinaldo wouldn't give you enough Cap space to call up Schenn.

You do know Schenn's cap goes from 3.11M to 1.705M just from not playing the first game right?

It is nice to have a real goalie for once. We all know Progner will get better and I would like to see them cut Shelley, then call up Schenn and keep Rinaldo as the extra forward.I would really like to see a forth line with Read,Nodl and Talbot, that is a good defensive fourth line that could play some minutes to give other guys a rest. we could roll 4 lines with no problems.

Yes I do. The Flyers currently have 65K of cap space. Rinaldo's cap hit is 544,444K. Schenn's Cap hit is 1.7M. You do the math.

Is it because Shelley and Lappy are still on the cap?
