But yeah. It was a good game, Giroux was amazing, Bryz looked good.

There ya go
By simple mathematics, Flyers are infinity times better than the Bruins this season.

anyone have a guess why they are trying Jagr in the middle on the power play instead of on the right side? It's strange to see, honestly.

Hey guys, B's fan, just wanted to say great game! Bryzgalov was excellent, I was very impressed. And I know it's early, but those summer deals are looking like the right moves. Can't wait until our teams meet again.

I hear you,but what was up with the empty seats?
Honestly it was embarassing. Boston is becoming pink hat nation, I hate to say it. I personally know 3 people that went to the game tonight, none of which I can have a decent conversation about hockey with. It has just become "cool" to like hockey, and it makes it impossible for real fans to get seats.

The lack of energy from the fans, and the empty seats just suck. I mean its opening night, go there to WATCH THE GAME.

I must say, that was satisfying. You always talk about ruining special event nights for other teams by beating them, and obviously NOTHING can ruin a Stanley Cup banner raising night.

But I'll take it.

He is on the right side...that's just how the PP shifted at that point in time. If we had a stationary PP, we'd be terrible. That's why Pittsburgh tends to struggle with boatloads of talent on the ice.

Did we have a one goal lead at any point last year in the first period in which we sustained througout the entire game without any more goals and won???

Finally a goalie..

huh? were you saying it sarcastically or not?

I can honestly say that the Bruins really do have the worst pink hat portion of our fan base. Its frustrating. So if you were being serious and didnt actually expect that, yeah Boston has an insane pink hat nation

Claude Giroux "Its a new team and like I said it was pretty exciting to see everybody working hard and everybody working together. The attitude was great out there"

Is this him just being happy with the effort, or is he subtly taking a shot at the effort giving last year?

Thanks for stopping by. I expect Boston to be the team to beat again this season, so the follow-up games will be increasingly intense.

Hey thanks for your comments. At least for one game all the Homer haters are silenced.

good win guys.

Bryz was awesome and so was Couturier. Giroux had a filthy goal.

Color me unimpressed with Jagr and JVR. I dont think Jagr is gonna be a good even strentgth player, and might bring down Giroux. Maybe JVR is still hampered by that groin. I thought Timonen and Pronger were pretty bad, although Timonen had the save of the night.

Good luck saturday mates, may the better team win

It's weird to say, but there is a downside to being successful. The bandwagoners can be bloody embarrassing. But enough about the Penguins ...

I believe he is just being happy with the effort.

PS Luongo is having a brutal game.

JVR had a nice chance that ended up being a great save by Thomas
