******* Yeah Hockey is back. Question does anyone know if the rink for the game is NHL size or Olympic?

Frightened to see how this D looks without Staal in the regular season. Hopefully they are up to the task, and I know Hank will be ready.

I took a day off tomorrow so that I could order me a nice fresh pizza, a few brewskies, and an empty house to enjoy the game! Hittin' up the gun range after to work on the skills.

So excited. It's been a long offseason and there's been so much anticipation ever since Brad Richards Day. But honestly, the last two months have gone by so fast. I cannot believe hockey is back!

This... is... HOCKEY!

Let's go Rangers!!!

Gaborik with two goals.
Callahan with two goals.
Dubinsky and Richards with two assists each.

Rangers win 4-2.

We are going to get smoked tomorrow.

Our defense is going to get mangled.

I hate the fact that this is at 1pm EST, but if we are getting smoked I'll be glad I'm at work

Seems likely, given the state of things.

Definitely NHL size. IMO, they should have played NHL size in the preseason too, but I guess thats because the international teams were technically home.

I also think we caught a break being that these are both away games. It would suck to have one of these count as a home game, like ANA and LA have.

I'm scheduled to work the next 2 nights so I'll have to get up earlier than normal to watch this one. Will probably get up around 2:30 or so and watch on delay....

Let's Go Rangers!

Using the DVR, I feel your pain, work fellas. Got school, boo.

W/e, at least I have something to look forward to after school, which is unusual.

I'm pretty sure LA has both games counting as home games (39 in LA then) because their parent company owns the arenas over there so they're getting money.

Its gotta be a huge Ranger crowd right? Being that Rangers are more popular than the Kings plus its in Sweden.

I think the Rangers in general are bigger in Europe than other teams, and having Hank helps us out a bunch.

It's already a bit mangled.

But it's the first game of the season so nothing but positive thoughts. LGR!

For some reason, I thought the opener was on Saturday (probably because I saw it was at 1 and assumed it was a weekend afternoon game), so this is a wonderful surprise right before I go to bed. Tomorrow, hockey!
