3 weeks is nothing after what we went through last year Hopefully, its true. But the fact that we are going to miss having campoli in the lineup, a guy that wasnt exactly in high demand around the NHL, and a guy that was a last minute signing for the club, just goes to show the state of our defense.

I mean, he's been playing okay, dont get me wrong.... but a good defense shouldnt be "missing" him.

How does a hockey player hurt his hmastring? That's a football/baseball injury from running.

He was a last minute signing because he wasn't available until late August as Chicago took him to arbitration.

Not saying he is a big name UFA but at least get your facts straight.

problem is that Campoli was signed to be another 'first-pass' d-man, and in the first was doing a pretty good job. On a positive note, it looks like Diaz can make that first pass, and with Campoli out, Emelin will probably come in and hopefully provide a physical edge.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Desharnais when both Eller and Betts are healthy and in the lineup. I don't really see a spot for him on the team.

He's slated to play with Eller and AK on the 3rd line.

I see the bottom six shaping up more like:

AK-Eller-Darche
Moen-Betts-White

That's not their plan...their plan is DD-Eller-Ak then Moen-Betts-White/Darche

We just need to pair Emelin up with a solid dman...Gorges.

Markov would be great for Emelin (whenever he returns?).
But can Emelin play on the right side?

Emelin - Gorges
??Emelin - ??Subban

Can I see these plans? Seriously though, we'll see. This team will need some kind of grit, at least I would hope.

Yemelin looked comfortable on the right side in preseason and I think he played there a lot KHL.

Hamstring?

Doubt it. Seems likely he misses a couple of months from the reports.

Their: us Hab fans!!

Hopefully coach Martin will give it a try!

DD/Darche/Moen - Eller - A.Kosts
Moen/Darche - Betts - White
Darche
8DD (on bench if he doesn't play the way he can)
Blunden

DD has not been playing the way DD can play...of course it was only one game.
Maybe Moen or Darche will play on the 3rd line to add sandpaper/grit/toughness...

Good stuff...wasn't sure about this. Now all we need is Markov!

Markov - Emelin

We have two lefties that are good for the right side:
Gorges and Emelin. Not bad.

This is what I'm relying on...yoteshot and Sportsnet.

This is also why I think 3 weeks is peanuts (since some Hab fans think he is out for a longer period).

To HarryI: reports...what reports? can you name the sources? (you're scaring me...same way waffledave scared me).

I usually like Desharnais but he's shown absolutely zilch, in the entire preseason and last night. I don't think his place in the lineup should be guaranteed at this point.

I'm going to wait for something a little more concrete before updating the OP re: Campoli. A lot of these "morning after" reports are usually just speculation.

Twitter.

Renaud Lavoie and JF Chaumont said he was on crutches going out of the arena. Now that may be preventive to do an MRI. Lets hope!

Looks like Pierre is probably regretting waiving Woywitka and having him claimed by the Rangers now.

Yup. I wish our GM had the power to predict injuries and the future like the other ones.

"No official report from the Canadiens on the severity of Campoli's injury (though Damian Cox of the Toronto Star claims he'll be out three weeks with a hamstring issue)"

I don't know why you guys are debating what our healthy lineup will be, we're never healthy so there will always be shuffling to deal with that.
