It's funny, the majority of the girls on our floor were hockey fans, so we usually had no problem watching hockey. If they were adamant about watching nonsense, we could always make our way to Wise Guys. Do they have a bar on campus again? Last I heard WG went belly up and moved out.
I am no longer living on campus, but WG did get shut down for all of last year. I heard that it will be reopening under a new name and I think new management sometime in October or November. There is remodeling going on there.
20-25000 is my guess....when they had 30 000 for the big save the jets rally, that field was twice as big with a similar density of people....there was no hotel or parkade....
great time tonight....
the museum looked awesome looming over the big crowd...too bad they didnt show it from that angle on CBC....it was quite an image.
randy bachman needs to retire....his voice is gone.
Yea Randy sounded rough and Fred looked a bit like weekend at Burnies during the song but fortunately it was about more than that last night. Our city represented very well and you can tell we have the underdog thing going right now and are a feel good story across the country.
i watched the Toronto game and man you could hear a pin drop in the first period inside the building....i guess its regular season and you forget that it is so different than playoffs.
my guess is that it will feel a tad different sunday afternoon in the Peg.
i was really wishing they showed more of the museum as well........there is no doubt we are going to have one of the more interesting sky lines once that is done. All part of our extreme make over 2.0
