I think I would Switch Regner for Prout. I don't know much about Regner, but I know that we have been waiting on him for forever. Let Prout play and see what we have. If he struggles Regner can come in.
At first glance it looks like the Falcons will be able to score with regularity if the top two lines stay together here. OTOH they are going to have to as their defense and goaltending as presently constituted is borderline AHL caliber at best IMO.

Do you think that the Falcons defense and goaltending is good enough to stop seasoned AHL forwards ? I'm a bit dubious considering their inexperience in both places.

I'm very serious too. They are good prospects, but, yes, you are going to struggle with their youth. It will pay off for you (assuming the partnership continues) in the long run. But it could be a painful ride.

Yep no offense. I just think without at least a vet or 2 on defense, no matter if Sanford arrives or not, this team is gonna give up a lot of goals. Holden is wearing an A and theoretically the leader on defense but he may not be here that long. You're right it could be a painful ride for more than a little while.
I wasn't saying they are a shut down group, I simply said that they are better than borderline AHL caliber. Yes they are young, but they do have talent and a great deal of upward potential, and isn't that a part of what the league is about? The addition of a coach with NHL experience should help as well.

I think you ran into a situation where we just have too many prospects at one time. While I would love to accommodate, the reality is we need those spots for prospects. We need two or three of your group to become NHL players. We don't have time to be screwing with journeymen AHL defensemen. Just last year we had a log jam and prospects riding the pine.
The good news is that these guys are all a year older.
Falcons season is off to a rough start. According to their Facebook page, there is a big accident on 495 and they are stuck in traffic. As of a 4:45 they were still 50 miles away from Manchester. According to the ahl website the game is delayed.
down 5-1 after 2. giroux with the goal. Looks like our team doesnt feel like playing. Way to be pumped up for the first game. Really hope its not a sign of things to come.
