Allows for a more aggressive PK style. Torts has been putting 2F and 1D on 3-man kills for as long as I can remember.

Refs 3, Rangers 2.

5 powerplays to 1? Right.

Don't mind losing to a better team. I do mind losing to some BS. I guess the ticky tack call on Boyle with 2 mins left in a tie game wasn't enough of a gift? Mitchell flops like a fish and they get a 4-on-3 PP in OT. Gotta love it.

Getting a PP with 2:00 to go in the 3rd, then another one with 2:00 to go in OT is mighty fishy.

I feel like we're gonna be taking a lot of penalties like that with our young D trying to keep up. Staal can't get back quickly enough.

The only guy who looked like complete crap was Stepan. I didnt like that line at all.

In reality, they should have won. They carried the play for two periods and it took a perfect GTG to force overtime.

I know it's early, but either the Kings were not as good as they usually are against the Rangers, or the Rangers are a much better team. Kinda tough to gauge without Staal and the addition of Richards.

Lots of stuff to build on...
Despite the goal Richards and Gaborik's chemistry lacked...
2nd line was good
3rd line was crap
4th line looked slow
I think there should be some shuffling of lines...
Despite the chemistry issues...Gaborik I thought looked dangerous.

Perhaps Greg Louganis was in the Kings camp helping them out this year.

Macdonagh had an excellent game. The penalty was a fluke.

Not much to like in the 1st period, but, they looked much improved in the 2nd and 3rd. To be honest, I was pleased overall with the play of the D.

That is 30 minutes for Girardi, 27 for McDonagh, who besides the penalty was great.

All forwards got 10 except Zuccarello who almost got 10. PK biased the TOI statistic a little.

And Richards' tying goal never happens if Gaborik doesn't ease up on the backcheck and let him go. Saw it right away, he let him go and bam Richards tips it in. Can't let up in a 1 goal game with 5 mins left. I hope Torts rips him a new one.

Not the refs fault we played like undisciplined children. The only call I really didn't like was the Boyle call and even that was borderline.

Am I the only one who voted for Del Zotto?

I thought he had a really good game.

Other two votes for McD (terrible penalty, but he played really well besides that) and Callahan (for 10,000 SOG).

The calls were 50-50, not really B.S.

Im more concerned about who took the penalties and why (Offensive zone in overtime? Really?) than those who made the call.

Looking at the replay again it looks like even more of a dive. You can't make that call in OT.
