Kings vs. Rangers - 10/07/11 - POST GAME THOUGHTS

Love the instant impact from Richards. Also love the initial title, but going to change it so I remember to look here for first game thoughts at the end of the season...always a fun exercise.

+1

Timing was a bit off on some plays, but overall play was still night and day compared to last year

I love Slava he is a great kid But he is so not taking A-Mart's spot. A-Mart was a rock today. So calm in his own end.

It's very evident that Mike Richards just brings another element to this club. I really liked how all lines played today.

Quick looked a little rusty but he'll get going.

The first period was the best I'd seen a Kings team in a very long time. They were moving the puck so well and they were being creative. Would have been a shame if they lost because I thought they played a fairly solid game. Lundqvist was pretty good today.

Once this team really starts to click, big things are going to happen. I wouldn't mind leaving Richardson on the second line.

Also would have been sweet to see Brown score on that rush in OT.

Man, talk about instant impacts. Richards looks to be a pretty legit acquisition based up on this game and this game only.

Nice win Kings. Keeps the Rangers down!

Well, according to the main board- they're much better off without him. Glad to take their castoffs !

More of a relief than anything for me. Kings dominated this team for a good portion of the game, and then let the Rags come back thanks to the usual J.Quick softie. Powerless play still looked like ass too.
Solid debut from the new guys except for Gagne..seemed a little step behind, or maybe it was just that Kopitar & Williams played a terrific game today. Kudos for the win!
