I haven't seen anyone make him the goat and try to pin the loss on him. Everyone is just saying that he sucks and looks like he doesn't care. That's not a scapegoat, that's just an unpopular player.

If Zucc gets suspended, Eminger should worry too, or what? Cross check to the face....

Michal Rozsival, would be my first guess.

But this game reminded me of how much Wolski frustrates me.

the call on Zuc was soft as Charmin. It was more of a lean on him than a real cross check. And it isn't like Zuc is freaking boyle, or even prust for that matter. Was it a penalty, sure, but not as bad as everyone made out. That was due to Mitchell acting like Cindy

Seriously W2 was horrendous this game. He needs to get his ****ing head out of his ass or i'm done defending him.

We really do need another top 6 LWer who plays hard. Dubi-Richards-Gabby was starting to go off in the third period, and Arty and Cally were fantastic. Feds was good there but could you imagine having somebody who played as hard as he did but also had 30-30 ability?

We may be missing Staal, but this is a good hockey team. In reality, they should be good enough to compete with the best of the best; personally, I'm sick of the complacency this franchise seems to exude. This is absolutely a game they should have won, up 2-1 late in the 3rd. An undisciplined defensive game lead to the loss, and while some may think the Kings are superior, it's far from set in stone. It's okay to lose when you play well and lose the game while doing so, but losing a game due to completely avoidable mistakes is unacceptable.
I don't get this. The Kings are MUCH better than the Rangers. The offense is debatable but can you honestly say that McD and Girardi are even in the same stratosphere as Doughty and Johnson? They would both be the best D men on this team with Staal out - by a long shot. That makes a huge difference

False. Girardi > Johnson defensively , and pretty easily too. Now offensively is a different story.

They aren't that much better than us, but right now they have better D depth.

Also, Erixon didn't look to out of place besides the delay of game penalty

It's not as if the Rangers' defense is terrible. Lundqvist is also much, much better than Quick.

And Johnson is MASSIVELY overrated. Weak defensive player, and essentially a PP specialist. I'd rather Girardi any day of the week.

"MUCH" better? Meh. The Rangers are a good team, and they're capable of winning any night; if this was last year, yeah, maybe I give them the BOD. But not now. No more. You don't get partial credit when stupid mistakes prevail.

Girardi is better than Johnson.

No arguments on Doughty. He is leaps and bounds ahead of everything we have.

"Much" better? No. But with Doughty there and Staal out they had the edge defensively, and our big guns took a while to get started. They also have Kopitar AND Mike Richards. It's exactly the way the game ended that's why i'm not so upset- Richards is a beast and he deflected that perfectly. The penalty on McDonagh in OT was iffy and other than that he had a great game. MDZ and Erixon were more than adequate. First game of the season, we saw some good things after the first period on all fronts and i'm alright with it.

I'm content with a point because **** happens. I'm very happy with the way we handled this game for the most part and I expect this season to be a good one.

I didn't get to watch the game. Stupid work. But I'll watch the Rangers in 60 soon and I will say that the Kings are a very good team, Stanley Cup calibre team. I'm happy with a point. Of course, I didn't actually watch the game.

Bad: Weak first period, weak penalties taken, Wolski completely invisible.
Redden: That we lost a game that we SHOULD'VE won

this is the type of close game where one can say Staal can make the difference b/w a win and a loss.

I thought the Rangers outplayed them in the 2nd and 3rd period. Very frustrating that we lost. Took too many penalities.

Callahan and Anisimov had great games. I thought Dubi-Richards-Gaborik line were great in the 2nd and 3rd period. Girardi played a strong game too.

Wolski was horrible. We are paying close to 4 million dollars to a guy that plays 10 minutes a night. . Rupp and Zuc were invisible too.

Disagree 100%. Penalties would have been taken with or without Staal.

I've seen worse losses.

Callahan was in beast mode. Half of our offense in one man.

Hopefully Gaborik uses this to get started on a season long tear to the Rocket. (one can hope)

Anisimov had a good game, Dubi too.

Richards was missing to me for the first period, made some noise in the second and third.

The third line had one good shift. W2 and Zucc looked to be suffering from the smaller ice surface.

Our defense showed it's youth, but also it's potential. McD put up what, 27 minutes? He's going to end up as a #1 d man, and once Staal gets back and we can get the lines settled down, the work in our end will start to look alot better.

Sauer was taking shots from the point, nice to see. Eminger continues to be my most hated player on the team since Rozival.

Hank was Hank.

For a first game, not a bad effort. Coulda shoulda been a win. A point will do for now, Lets add two tomorrow.

i agree. anisimov and cally were great but i felt like for the most part feds was invisible. feds is alright but that line could be pretty dirty with a better lw
