Kings @ Sabres in Berlin

Weekend at Bernier's...

http://lakingsinsider.com/2011/10/07...tart-saturday/

"Jonathan Bernier will get the start in goal tomorrow against the Buffalo Sabres, Terry Murray said. Murray said he would determine, after the flight to Berlin, whether there would be a morning skate tomorrow."

I was about to get pissed thinking the Kings would be the only ones to travel. Then I looked and realized Buffalo played in Helsinki.

Quick (unfortunately) seemed to continue his pre-season play. Hopefully Bernier can do the same though, he's been lights out.

I don't want to be greedy, well hell yeah I do, bring back 4 points to NA boys.

Hoping Bernier is stellar tomorrow. Wonder if Buffalo will go with Miller.

When was the last time the Kings won vs the Sabres ? I cant remember anymore...must be years ago.

I do remember that 8-1 or 8-2 beating from a few years ago.

Kings will be wearing sweaters matching the style of the local DEL team Berlin Eisbären for pre-game warmup. Jerseys will be signed and auctioned after the game.

Its for a good thing but these Berlin Polar Bears jerseys are pretty awful. Luckily they only wear them during the warm-up.

Compared with the add-plastered version the Polar Bears usually wear they look semi-decent...

My brother will be there. I have bought a card from a friend today for him. I cannot go there because I have to work. But I want to make this special chance, to see the game, possible for my brother.

It's up to Bernier to have a strong game. I expect good energy, even though it is the start of the season and travel. GO KINGS!

I'm glad the Sabres beat the Ducks. You know how good teams bring extra energy after a loss. We won't have to deal with that.

Quick wasn't that bad pre-season. He did have a shut-out. Imagine if Cloutier was still our #1.

Does anyone know how Ryan Miller has looked pre-season?

my prediction if we played like we did today (1st period)

3-1 Kings

If we played like we did (2nd/3rd)

2-1 Sabres

Overall, we will win

Perhaps a SO for JB, damn did i jinx it?

Bernier has been lights out from the all star break all the way until now, it will be interesting to see what happens should he continue that for his first 2 starts because Quick hasn't played bad but Bernier has been playing too well not to be the #1

Vanek, Leino, Roy, Pominville, Stafford, Erhoff, Myers, Ennis.

Not a bad offensive lineup. I know, it's weird to say that about Buffalo.
